On September 10, the Geely Galaxy TT made its official debut, boasting a limited-time introductory price range of 129,900-185,900 RMB. This move directly places the entry threshold for C-class pure electric sports sedans within the 130,000 RMB bracket. Previously, features like the 800V high-voltage platform, full-aluminum double-wishbone suspension, and CATL's customized high-performance batteries were predominantly found in models priced above 200,000 RMB.


The arrival of the Galaxy TT marks a redefinition of value in the 150,000 RMB pure electric vehicle market. Rather than resorting to cost-cutting and price wars, it makes high-end features universally available, challenging competitors with a "high-spec from entry" strategy.
Full-Range Democratization of High-End Features
From the officially announced feature set, the Galaxy TT's core strategy is to do away with the traditional "base model" concept. Features such as the 800V high-voltage platform, CATL's Shenxing TT customized high-performance battery, native rear-wheel-drive layout, and front full-aluminum double-wishbone + rear five-link suspension—typically reserved for mid-to-high-end trims in comparable models—are standard in the base model. Consequently, the range threshold has been extended from the common 500 km in the same price range to 640 km CLTC range, with the long-range version achieving 725 km.

A horizontal comparison of mainstream car models in the same price range reveals the impact of this configuration more vividly. The Seal 06 GT, priced close to 140,000 RMB, features a front MacPherson + rear five-link suspension combination, a 400V high-voltage platform, and a base range of 550 km. The Seres L06, equipped with an 800V platform but retaining a MacPherson front suspension, offers a base range of 560 km and starts at 125,900 RMB, though its main sales versions are priced above 140,000 RMB. The MG 07, with a similar chassis specification and an 800V platform, starts at 135,900 RMB for its 650 km range version, 6,000 RMB more expensive than the Galaxy TT's base model, and its body size is positioned at A-class+, half a level smaller than the Galaxy TT's C-class dimensions.

The more critical distinction lies in the "standard across all trims" approach to features. Many competitors only offer the 800V platform and double-wishbone suspension in mid-to-high-end versions, with base models still using the 400V platform and MacPherson suspension, necessitating additional costs for high-end features. The Galaxy TT, however, democratizes all core hardware to the base model, effectively flattening the industry's default "feature ladder."
Of course, it must be objectively acknowledged that some competitors have their own strengths in intelligent cockpits and infotainment ecosystems. For instance, some models are equipped with higher-tier intelligent driving chips, while others boast more mature infotainment application ecosystems. The real-world experience of the Galaxy TT's FlymeAuto cockpit remains to be verified.

According to previous industry pricing logic, the 800V platform was essentially exclusive to models priced above 200,000 RMB, and double-wishbone suspensions were often strongly associated with "premium" and "performance." By making this configuration standard in the 129,900 RMB base model, the Galaxy TT leverages its scaled technological cost advantages to disrupt the original price hierarchy. Combined with a 6,000 RMB purchase tax subsidy, a 4,000 RMB insurance subsidy during the launch period, and multiple financial and trade-in benefits, the actual purchasing threshold can be further reduced.
Chassis Tuning Balances Handling and Comfort
While many evaluate electric vehicles based on acceleration and range figures, for sports sedans, chassis tuning is the key determinant of driving quality. The Galaxy TT's chassis hardware is robust, but its true differentiation comes from the tuning by the Lotus Engineering team.

The native rear-wheel-drive layout inherently avoids the understeer issues of front-wheel-drive vehicles, and with DP-EPS dual-pinion steering, steering response and precision are fundamentally ensured. The standard FSD variable damping suspension automatically adjusts damping stiffness based on road conditions, filtering out minor bumps while retaining road feel. The high-end CCD-AI Magic Carpet chassis takes it a step further, predicting road conditions 40 meters in advance and adjusting suspension damping within 10-50 milliseconds, significantly reducing the impact when driving over speed bumps and potholes.

The Galaxy TT's previous Guinness World Record for the longest continuous twin-vehicle drift on a wet surface (46.094 km) attests to the extreme stability of its chassis and electric drivetrain. However, it must be objectively stated that extreme drifting scenarios are far removed from daily driving. What ordinary consumers are more likely to notice are body roll control in corners, vibration filtering on rough roads, and stability at high speeds. From the current engineering tuning logic, it does not blindly pursue a rigid sporty feel but instead balances daily commuting comfort, better aligning with domestic users' driving scenarios.
Blockbuster Potential Still Subject to Market Validation
As of August this year, Geely Galaxy has achieved a cumulative global sales volume of 2.56 million vehicles in 42 months, making it one of the fastest-growing new energy brands in China. From the Starwish to the Galaxy E8, and now to the Galaxy TT, Geely Galaxy's product strategy has been clear: leveraging superior configurations and impactful pricing to enter mainstream market segments.

As the first sedan in Geely Galaxy's pure electric 2.0 era, the TT fills the brand's gap in the sports pure electric sedan market. Its advantages include a user base of 2.56 million, a mature three-electric technology system, and a nationwide channel network. The pre-sale phase also generated significant heat, with the Ultra version's limited release quickly selling out, confirming market acceptance for performance variants.
However, this does not guarantee the Galaxy TT's position as the "new king of the 150,000 RMB segment." The current competition in the 150,000-200,000 RMB pure electric sedan market is fierce, with leading competitors each having their own selling points—some focus on intelligent cockpits, others on range affordability, and still others rely on brand strength to capture market share. The Galaxy TT's strengths lie in its three-electric hardware and chassis tuning, but the actual experience of its intelligent cockpit, advanced driving assistance systems, as well as delivery speed and terminal service reputation, all require long-term market validation. Ultimately, whether it can continue Geely Galaxy's blockbuster legacy depends on real user feedback.

Feature stacking can only determine the lower limit; what truly determines the upper limit are tuning expertise, quality control stability, and user reputation. The Galaxy TT has made a strong start, but whether it can stand firm remains to be seen over time and through market validation.
