On September 22, Xinguang Optoelectronics revealed its ambitious plan to allocate 100 million yuan towards the establishment of a fully-owned subsidiary in Hangzhou. This new entity, tentatively named "Hangzhou Xinguang Precision Measurement Systems Co., Ltd.," will commence operations with an initial paid-in capital of 10 million yuan, with the remainder being injected in phases as operational needs dictate.

The newly formed company will specialize in a wide array of optical products and services, encompassing optical instruments, measurement and testing apparatus, optoelectronic sensors, optical lenses, optical monitoring equipment, optical components, projection objectives, illumination optics, measurement alignment systems, and other optical testing solutions. Additionally, it will delve into the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of electronic products, software, and hardware.

Xinguang Optoelectronics emphasized that it aims to capitalize on Hangzhou's thriving optoelectronic industry ecosystem to bolster its research and development as well as production capabilities in precision optical components, lenses, and systems. The subsidiary will supply core components, optical measurement equipment, and tailored solutions for the semiconductor, aerospace, high-end equipment, and other sectors. Looking ahead, while retaining majority control, the company remains open to the possibility of bringing in strategic investors or technical teams to further enhance its capabilities.

This strategic move is part of a broader trend. Since 2026, Xinguang Optoelectronics has been actively expanding its footprint in the optoelectronic industry chain. In January, it successfully set up Beijing Leiqiong Laser Communication Technology Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 50 million yuan, marking its entry into satellite remote sensing, satellite communication, and navigation enhancement services. In March, the company secured a contract for a composite projection and switching optical system project valued at 45.5113 million yuan.

According to the semi-annual report, the company reported a revenue of 63.9978 million yuan for the first half of the year, representing a significant year-on-year increase of 200.73%. Notably, its 10,000-watt fixed laser system has commenced small-batch deliveries. However, due to factors such as the amortization of equity incentive expenses and heightened R&D investment, the net profit attributable to shareholders still recorded a loss of 33.8759 million yuan.
