It realizes precise sensing of all elements and scenarios such as traffic operation, meteorological environment, road conditions, structural health, electromechanical facilities, personnel/mobile facilities, truly bringing the "technological feel" of smart highways to benefit road users and travelers.
In the traffic operation sensing scenario, Hisense utilizes digital twins to create a road network operation sensing capability. It realizes real-time monitoring of road network operation based on vehicle real-time trajectories, observing traffic conditions from a god's-eye view. Traffic accidents such as vehicle collisions and abnormal parking are detected within seconds, with detection time < 1min and accuracy ≥ 95%.
In the meteorological sensing scenario, a single map of highway meteorology is created to allow meteorological data to serve road network operation. Meteorological environment sensing equipment and data services are deployed in combination with road segment characteristics to comprehensively monitor meteorological environmental conditions such as visibility, temperature, humidity, rain, snow, and fog. Abnormalities are promptly warned and responded to in advance, reducing the probability of accidents caused by severe weather.
In the road condition sensing scenario, intelligent contour markers are used to expand sensor modules such as radar, temperature and humidity, and acceleration. Combined with on-board mobile video AI, precise sensing of abnormal road conditions such as water accumulation, icing, and potholes is achieved. Timely warnings are sent to moving vehicles and management personnel, with detection accuracy ≥ 95%.
In the structural health sensing scenario, the system can interface with health monitoring sensor data and combine digital twin simulation to achieve a clear understanding of the structural health status of important infrastructure. Through a multi-level warning mechanism, when monitoring data exhibits abnormalities, the system automatically alarms and promptly diagnoses the problem points, assisting maintenance personnel in rapid and precise maintenance.
In the electromechanical facility sensing scenario, the system constructs 10 categories of automated fault diagnosis algorithms, covering more than 900 types of fault identification for all types of equipment inside and outside highways. This achieves efficient and low-cost operation and maintenance, helping highway operators reduce costs and increase efficiency. Among the 249 types of over 160,000 devices constructed on Liaoning highways, the online rate has been 99.8% since their use, and the overall equipment integrity rate is 99.9%.
In the personnel/mobile facility sensing scenario, the system provides multimedia converged communication for production operators involved in road construction and dynamic inspections. It monitors, schedules, and warns vehicles, personnel, and construction sites, improving the safety of production operators while solving issues related to communication, scheduling, and reporting difficulties.
"Based on the above sensing systems, we have formed a comprehensive sensing system for smart highways with 9 major categories and 81 sub-categories," Ai Xinwei pointed out, achieving the immediate response to abnormal events, rapid response to emergencies, one-stop handling of business processes, and clear understanding of road network operation. This truly promotes the digital transformation of highways and leads the way.
