According to Fast Technology on June 12, Apple announced at its Worldwide Developers Conference that it would integrate OpenAI technology into its software.
Subsequently, Musk, who has long-standing grievances with OpenAI, posted multiple tweets on X, scathingly criticizing, "Apple doesn't know what will happen once it hands over user data to OpenAI. It's selling you out."
He also bluntly stated that if Apple integrates GPT into its operating system, he will ban Apple devices from entering his company.
Many of Musk's fans also expressed their opinions on this issue. In the discussion, one fan said, "I dare to assert that X will collaborate with Samsung to manufacture X phones."
"It is not out of the question," Musk responded in a follow-up post.
After Musk's criticisms, many tech influencers and celebrities came forward to speak up for Apple, but they all encountered Musk's counterattacks.
For example, Sam Pullara, Executive Director of venture capital firm Sutter Hill Ventures, explained, "Apple will only send specific request data to OpenAI when users approve each request, which is not much different from using ChatGPT Apps."
Musk retorted, "If it's not much different from using ChatGPT Apps, then why not let users use the Apps directly?"
