The domestic mobile phone market competition in 2024 has currently entered a halftime break. Of course, by halftime break, we mean that there are no new phone releases for the time being, but in reality, mobile phone manufacturers are all holding back their moves, waiting to unleash them in the second half. realme is one of them. Online leaks still carry a hint of mystery, requiring guesses, but they are not difficult to figure out. For example, based on the leaked content in the following images, we can basically determine that it is a high-end model focused on cost-effectiveness. Although no specific model name was mentioned, it is highly likely to be the successor to the realme GT5 Pro.

Of course, the naming of this phone may be a bit different from what many people might expect. According to previous messages from the leaker, the next-generation flagship of realme will be named GT7 Pro. As for why it's named after skipping a generation, I personally speculate that it may be to demonstrate the significant upgrades of the new phone, which is particularly evident in the chip. Compared to the 8 Gen3, the 8 Gen4 has an increase of about 0.8GHz in the maximum frequency of the main core, meaning a significant boost in the upper limit of chip performance.

Another significant upgrade mentioned in the leaks is the "ultra-large silicon anode battery."不出意外, this likely refers to an increase in battery capacity from 5400mAh in the previous generation to 6000mAh. If combined with 100W charging, the battery life will see a qualitative improvement. Additionally, the ultrasonic under-screen fingerprint technology is also a major upgrade, resulting in a significantly different unlocking experience, especially in terms of recognition rate and security, where ultrasonic fingerprints have an advantage.

Regarding the use of an equal-depth curved screen on the GT7 Pro, I personally believe it will help enhance the aesthetics. Moreover, similar screens will gradually be used on more and more phones. Additionally, the IMX882 sensor has both distinct advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that it helps make the device thinner and lighter, while the disadvantage is that it cannot achieve short-distance telephoto macro photography (which would compromise the thin and light design). It remains to be seen how mobile phone manufacturers make their choices. Personally, I believe realme will opt for a thinner and lighter design, considering that the 9.23mm thickness of the GT5 Pro is indeed in need of improvement.

In fact, the high evaluation of the realme GT5 Pro stems from its combination of some top-tier flagship features and excellent cost-effectiveness. For example, it has excellent optimization in gaming performance, with a VC heat dissipation area of 12,000mm², which is very rare in the entire mobile phone market.

Honestly, the imaging capabilities of the GT5 Pro are already very powerful among phones of the same caliber. Unless there is a price increase, I can't imagine how the rear triple camera of the GT7 Pro could be further upgraded while maintaining the same price. Currently, all major mobile phone brands are holding back their next-generation models. Given the positioning of the realme GT7 Pro, it is unlikely to have a comprehensive upgrade, but if it comes with the 8 Gen4 processor and a 6000mAh battery, it will become an important selling point for the phone.

As for the price, the official starting price of the GT5 Pro is currently 3,399 yuan. Therefore, I personally believe it is reasonable for the GT7 Pro to increase to 3,499 yuan. What do you think?
