For many people, Samsung might not be the first brand that comes to mind when purchasing a new phone, as Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo, Honor, and Huawei dominate the market, leaving little room for awareness of Samsung's existence. However, I must mention that many insiders still prefer Samsung, given its status as the most powerful representative of Android and currently the world's best-selling smartphone brand.
Recently, Mingmei Infinite noticed that overseas media have exposed the complete configuration information of the Samsung S25 Ultra. Samsung's S series Ultra models are hailed by many as the "King of Android," and the Samsung S24 Ultra is currently one of the highest-selling high-end Android devices globally, with its successor, the Samsung S25 Ultra, boasting equally impressive specifications.
Firstly, according to the leaks, the Chinese version of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has completed its registration, and some of its specifications have been revealed.
It is reported that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the first to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 processor, which utilizes advanced TSMC 3nm process technology and integrates the Cortex-X5 supercore for powerful performance. This top-tier chip will bring users an unprecedented leap in performance, making it effortless to handle complex tasks or enjoy large-scale games.
In terms of storage, the new device will offer 12GB and 16GB RAM versions, as well as 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB internal storage options, catering to users' needs for multitasking and extensive data storage.
For the display, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a 6.9-inch AMOLED 2x screen with a resolution of 3088×1440 pixels and a peak brightness of 3000 nits, significantly improved from its predecessor's 6.8-inch display and 2600 nits peak brightness. Additionally, the incorporation of the new-generation 120Hz LTPO refresh rate technology enhances screen responsiveness and scrolling smoothness.
In the camera department, the Galaxy S25 Ultra continues Samsung's pursuit of photographic excellence, adopting a cutting-edge quad-camera array design. The primary camera sports a 200-megapixel (200MP) sensor, while the ultra-wide-angle lens boasts a 50-megapixel (50MP) sensor, capturing breathtaking landscapes. Remarkably, the device also includes two telephoto cameras, both supporting 3x and 5x optical zoom, respectively, with 50MP sensors.
Worth mentioning is that leaked information about the Samsung S25 Ultra indicates it will be equipped with updated ultra-wide-angle and 3x zoom camera sensors. Specifically, the next-generation Ultra will adopt a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, replacing the existing 12MP one, and a 50MP 3x zoom camera, substituting the current 10MP lens.
Regarding battery life, the Galaxy S25 Ultra houses a high-capacity battery, available in 4855mAh (minimum) and 5000mAh (typical) variants, ensuring a worry-free experience for extended usage. It also supports 45W fast charging technology, enabling quick power replenishment.
Although the Samsung Galaxy S25 did not see further upgrades in battery capacity, it also did not experience any downgrades. However, it faces significant pressure in terms of battery life, as the next-generation processor will undoubtedly adopt 3nm technology, further enhancing energy efficiency. Whether this will offset the additional power consumption brought by performance improvements remains to be seen.
Certainly, Samsung's standard version is relatively conservative in battery specifications, but the Plus and Ultra versions offer ample capacity, especially the Plus version, which has seen consecutive generations of improvements, with the S24+'s battery specifications nearing those of the Ultra version.
Notably, Samsung plans to enhance battery life by 10% through a new feature called "Battery AI."
Judging from the name, "Battery AI" might be an intelligent function within the
