According to insiders, Nokia has discussed potential options for this division with its advisory team, including a partial or full sale, with the division valued at $10 billion (approximately RMB 70.9 billion).

Nokia's mobile network division is a major source of revenue, contributing approximately 44% of Nokia's total revenue in 2023. However, due to declining demand from telecom operators, this division has faced significant challenges in recent years.

Since taking office, Nokia CEO Pekka Lundmark has been focused on finding new growth points to reduce reliance on operator network construction.

Market rumors suggest that Samsung Electronics has expressed preliminary interest in acquiring some of Nokia's assets, aiming to expand its presence in the wireless access network sector.

Nokia stated that the mobile network business is highly strategic to the company and has made significant progress this year in cost control, product roadmap protection, new customer transactions, and increasing market share with existing customers.
