According to a news report on September 6th by Kuaikeji, Xiaomi is developing a buttonless smartphone with the codename 'wangshu'. This device is a new member of the Xiaomi MIX series, marking another innovative attempt after the 'zhuque' (Vermilion Bird) launched a year and a half ago.
As shown in the image, 'wangshu' eliminates all physical buttons but retains a USB-C port and SIM card slot. It features a dual-curved OLED display and under-display camera technology, achieving a true full-screen design.
The body inscriptions and system codes of 'wangshu' indicate that it belongs to the Xiaomi MIX series.
Although it has not yet been mass-produced or officially launched, with the increasing leaks of Xiaomi MIX's new models, it is expected that a new device adopting 2K under-display technology may be introduced in 2025.
In terms of specifications, it is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, a 2K 120Hz OLED screen, a 4500mAh battery, and supports 200W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
The exposure of 'wangshu' demonstrates Xiaomi's efforts in product design and technological innovation, and the market holds high expectations for how Xiaomi will balance buttonless design with user experience.
