After selling 15 million units of the Honor X50 series, the Honor X60 series has finally arrived.

On the evening of October 16th, the Honor X60 series was released as scheduled. As the successor to the popular Honor X50 series, the Honor X60 series has garnered significant attention, not only due to the strong reputation and market influence established by its predecessor but also because there are now more competitors with similar positioning, such as OPPO and vivo, who are also launching durable and affordable smartphones this year.

It's time for the Honor X60 series to shine. However, unlike its predecessor, the focus this year is clearly on the Honor X60 Pro.

In terms of design, the Honor X60 standard edition does not feature a curved screen but instead sports a 1080P LCD flat screen with a central punch-hole camera. The rear design continues the previous circular camera module, featuring only a 100MP HM6 primary camera. The standard edition is available in three colors: Elegant Black, Moonlight White, and Sea Lake Green.

The Honor X60 Pro, on the other hand, comes equipped with a 1.5K curved screen with a peak brightness of up to 3000nits. It features a pill-shaped camera cutout on the front and a circular camera module on the back, also housing a 100MP HM6 primary camera. The Pro edition is available in four colors: Elegant Black, Sky Sea Green, Xuanwu Grey, and Burning Orange.

Concurrently, the entire Honor X60 series continues to emphasize "reliability," leveraging the Tai Chi shock-absorbing architecture 2.0 and multi-layer protective structure. The well-received drop-resistant design of the Honor X50 has been carried over to the X60 series, along with upgrades such as ultra-deep tempered glass.

Honor even collaborated with Sany Heavy Industry, the "second-largest heavy equipment manufacturer in the world," to showcase the durability of the X60 series.

During the livestream, Honor subjected the X60 Pro to extreme durability tests, including being crushed by an 80-ton truck, dropped from a height of 10 meters, and rotated in a cement mixer for 10 minutes. Additionally, various drop tests on different surfaces were demonstrated.

Given the impressive durability of the Honor X50, it's reasonable to expect that the X60 series will also withstand everyday bumps and drops with ease.

Battery life is another key selling point for this new generation of budget smartphones. In this regard, the Honor X60 standard edition packs a 5800mAh battery with support for up to 35W fast charging, while the X60 Pro boasts a 6600mAh Qinghai Lake battery with support for up to 66W fast charging.

Undoubtedly, one of the standout features of the Honor X60 Pro is its support for bidirectional Beidou satellite messaging (limited to 12GB+512GB variants), a feature previously reserved for flagship devices. Bringing this capability to a mainstream mid-range device is truly remarkable.

As for processors, which have never been the main focus of the Honor X series, the X60 standard edition is powered by the Dimensity 7025-Ultra, while the X60 Pro features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. While these chips may not satisfy performance enthusiasts, they are more than sufficient for daily tasks.

Regarding pricing, the Honor X60 Pro starts at 1499 yuan (8GB+128GB), with further details as follows:

Additionally, Honor unveiled its first gaming tablet at this event – the Honor Pad GT Pro, featuring a 12.3-inch 3K OLED screen, the third-generation Snapdragon 8s chip, and eight speakers.
