Introduction
The sales ranking of new forces for Week 43 of 2024 (October 21-27) has been released.
Lixiang Auto continues to lead with weekly sales exceeding 10,000 units, reaching 11,300 units;
AITO and Leapmotor are in a tight race, with AITO selling 8,700 units and Leapmotor selling 8,500 units weekly;
Xiaomi, XPeng, ZEEKR, and Deep Blue are gaining momentum, all achieving weekly sales of over 5,000 units;
NIO's sales remain stable, with weekly sales of 4,200 units;
Several new forces stood out in sales last week. As always, here are three key points:
1. Xiaomi and XPeng advance side by side, with soaring sales
Xiaomi released the Xiaomi SU7 ultra version these two days, promising to lower prices, but this time it's a whopping 814,900 yuan.
Netizens played on the price's homophone: 81st Army Day, 49th Anniversary of the Founding of New China.
Xiaomi is also slapping ZEEKR in the face: "Competitors, you can't make it in five years!"
NIO owners even paid tribute to the su7 Ultra: NIO Ultra
Xiaomi's solid weekly sales of 5,000 units demonstrate that its production capacity has significantly increased, taking a big step forward compared to six months ago;
Pre-orders for Xiaomi su7 now extend to three months later due to ample orders but insufficient production capacity.
XPeng made a comeback with MONA03, and its strategy of equalizing intelligent driving is absolutely commendable.
The top-spec model costs 150,000 yuan, featuring XNGP intelligent assisted driving, while the cheaper model (120,000 yuan) also supports basic intelligent driving and automatic parking.
This is a dimensionality reduction attack on gasoline cars of the same class.
2. NIO's sales remain stable, and LeDao sales may not be included
NIO's sales are currently stable but may face similar issues to Xiaomi, namely insufficient production capacity;
The second Hefei plant has not been operational for long, and the overall plant capacity configuration, in addition to the main brand, also needs to allocate some capacity to LeDao. Overall capacity urgently needs to be increased.
However, Tie Cheng, CEO of LeDao, stated that LeDao's sales would exceed 10,000 units within three months. Therefore, I venture to predict that NIO's weekly sales may not include LeDao.
3. Leapmotor is rising, while Nezha is struggling
Leapmotor's weekly sales are steadily increasing, consistently exceeding 8,000 units, showing a trend of catching up with AITO;
This underscores the importance of choice. Hybrid vehicles are currently formidable, creating numerous miracles:
BYD's revenue surpasses SAIC and Tesla, making it China's number one automaker;
Lixiang Auto's hybrid models have sold over 10,000 units weekly for nearly 30 weeks, leading new forces and reaching the 1 million-unit milestone in four years;
AITO M9, a 500,000-yuan luxury SUV, is giving BBA a run for their money;
Leapmotor has made a remarkable comeback, achieving astonishing weekly sales figures;
Two years ago, Nezha ranked first among new forces, but this year its sales have struggled repeatedly,
and there are even rumors that salaries cannot be paid, making its path to going public quite bumpy;
Despite its immense online popularity, it has failed to save sales.
Everyone can't help but ask why?
Some people summarize it simply:
Lixiang, AITO, XPeng, Leapmotor, etc., have chosen a product-oriented approach;
Nezha, on the other hand, has chosen traffic.
Conclusion
The wind howls over the Yi River, and winter snowflakes fall;
The new waves push forward the old, and the newcomers surge higher and higher.
As always, the new energy market is leaving manufacturers with limited time. In a concentrated market, the strong will always remain strong, while the weak will either adapt or be eliminated.
