On November 18, BYD celebrated its 30th anniversary and the rollout of its 10 millionth new energy vehicle at its Xiaomo Industrial Park in the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone. At the event, Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd., shared for the first time the company's 30-year entrepreneurial journey, from a 20-person startup team in a small workshop 30 years ago to a world-class enterprise with nearly one million employees today. Guided by the engineer's spirit of "daring to dream, act, and persist," BYD has consistently used technological innovation to fulfill people's aspirations for a better life and given back to society, car owners, and employees through practical actions.

BYD has now become the first automaker globally to produce 10 million new energy vehicles, marking a new milestone for BYD and the development history of China's auto industry. It signifies a solid step towards transforming China from a major automotive producer into a powerful one, ushering in a stage of high-quality development for the Chinese auto industry. BYD took 15 years to achieve its first 5 million vehicles but only 15 months for the second 5 million, setting a new "acceleration" record for the Chinese auto industry and reaffirming BYD's commitment to the new energy path and technological innovation.

At the event, Wang Chuanfu presented the 10 millionth new energy vehicle, the Denza Z9, to Feng Ji, founder and CEO of Game Science and producer of "Black Myth: Wukong." Feng expressed his honor at becoming the owner of BYD's 10 millionth new energy vehicle and looked forward to telling China's story with world-class quality together with BYD.

At the event, Wang Chuanfu stated that BYD's success is attributed to its daring to dream, act, and persist. This spirit of "daring" belongs not only to the Chinese people but also to BYD. BYD officially released its 30th-anniversary theme song, "Dare," a grand ode to courage, paying tribute to every dream chaser who dares to walk the path bravely.

BYD's confidence in "daring" stems from its technology, which is supported by an engineer's culture. Wang Chuanfu said, "The soul of an engineer is the soul of BYD. Even if all our assets, including factories, patents, and stocks, disappear, as long as our engineers are still here, we can rise again anytime." Qin Shuo, a renowned media personality and financial observer, showcased the authentic BYD from an external perspective through nearly 100 in-depth interviews with BYD's senior executives and employee representatives, accumulating 200 hours of audio material and approximately 1.5 million words of interview content. This resulted in the book "The Soul of an Engineer," the only officially authorized book about BYD.

Wang Chuanfu also mentioned that BYD systematically reviewed its development over the past 30 years and personally led the writing of the "BYD Basic Outline." He stated that this outline is not only a summary of BYD's past experiences and underlying logic for development but also a guiding principle for the future. This has been BYD's internal mindset, communication, and action for years and will continue to guide the company in the future.

To thank its 10 million customers and nearly one million employees, BYD, with the witness of the Shenzhen Pingshan Notary Office, drew 90 "super lucky winners" on-site to present them with new car usage rights.

Additionally, Wang Chuanfu announced BYD's plan to establish a 3 billion charity fund focused on education charity. The fund will offer scholarships at multiple universities nationwide and donate dissected new energy vehicles to vocational schools, museums, and science and technology museums as educational exhibits, inspiring students' interest in automotive technology and industrial manufacturing and contributing to cultivating more outstanding engineers.
