According to reports, despite Norway's elimination of some tax incentives for electric vehicles, electric vehicles still accounted for 94% of new car sales in October this year, almost twice that of China, bringing Norway closer to its goal of halting the sale of new gasoline vehicles next year.

To establish supporting energy replenishment facilities for electric vehicles, many places in Norway are dismantling the fuel pumps at gas stations to make space for installing charging piles; even nursing homes in rural inland areas are switching to electric vehicles during the long winter months.

Norway's vigorous promotion of electric vehicles has also changed the domestic automotive market landscape, with Tesla now replacing Toyota and Volkswagen as the most popular automotive brand in Norway.

Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers are also expanding their market in Norway. Currently, there are over 160 electric vehicle models available in the Norwegian automotive market, up from fewer than 10 a decade ago.

Other traditional automakers are also increasing their layout in the electric vehicle field. Brands such as Hyundai, Opel, and Peugeot also ceased selling gasoline models in Norway last year, introducing more electric vehicle models.
