On January 22, Tengjing Technology made an announcement stating that it had recently landed a purchase order for two-dimensional collimator arrays from a subsidiary of Customer C, with the total value reaching $12.8 million (equivalent to roughly 89.15 million yuan).

As per reports, the two-dimensional collimator arrays included in this order represent one of the company's flagship high-end optical components within the optical communication realm. Drawing on the company's extensive expertise and technological advancements in precision molding and assembly processes, these products exhibit outstanding features. They offer high-precision coupling, high port density, consistent channel performance, low insertion loss, and high reliability. These attributes enable them to precisely cater to the customized requirements of downstream OCS (Optical Connection Switching) optical switch manufacturers for collimator arrays with varying port counts and specifications. As a result, they play a pivotal role in providing essential component support for the construction of AI computing centers and ultra-large-scale optical interconnection networks. This accomplishment underscores the customer's confidence in the company's technological prowess in the high-end passive optical component domain and serves to solidify and elevate the company's market influence and core competitiveness at crucial junctures of the optical communication industry chain.

This significant order has also captured the attention of the industry. Industry insiders have highlighted that Tengjing Technology's order for two-dimensional collimator arrays is anticipated to fulfill the demand for nearly a thousand complete OCS (Optical Connection Switching) units. This development signifies the official shift of OCS technology from the initial validation phase to large-scale mass production within the Google TPU v7/v8 architecture. Simultaneously, the previously somewhat closed supply chain system has started to open its doors to external partners.

At present, the investment landscape in the optical communication industry is undergoing a transition, shifting from an emphasis on computing infrastructure investment to a deeper focus on technological architecture upgrades and supply chain restructuring. A key factor contributing to this shift is the existence of an approximately 20% supply gap in the production capacity of upstream EML chips. During the transition to 1.6T speeds, the widespread adoption of silicon photonics technology solutions has evolved from a mere industry trend into an urgent necessity. This supply-side-driven technology substitution process is expected to be both more explosive and sustained.

It is worth noting that this marks the second substantial order Tengjing Technology has disclosed in recent times. Earlier, on October 23, 2025, its controlled subsidiary, Hefei Zhongbo Functional Materials Co., Ltd., announced the receipt of a purchase order for YVO4 (yttrium vanadate crystal) products, valued at 87.606 million yuan (excluding tax). These products are primarily utilized in the fields of optical communication and fiber lasers.
