Recently, CSG signed an investment cooperation agreement with Xianning High-Tech Zone, marking the official establishment of the CSG Optical New Material Production Base in Phase III of Xianning High-Tech Zone. This project is the fourth major industrial project CSG has undertaken in Xianning, following Xianning CSG Glass, CSG Energy-Saving, and CSG Optoelectronics.

The signed project by Hubei CSG Optical Technology Co., Ltd. will focus on building a large-scale production base for optical new materials, while simultaneously creating an R&D and innovation base for functional new materials, new processes, and new equipment. The main products will include UTG ultra-thin flexible glass. Upon completion, the project will become an important core base for the production and R&D of optical new materials by CSG in Central China.

As a key component of CSG's electronic glass and display device business segment, the establishment of this base further strengthens its full industrial chain advantages in the electronic glass sector. According to CSG's 2025 annual report, its electronic glass business covers high-, mid-, and low-end markets, with applications in smart consumer electronics, automotive displays, medical equipment, industrial control, and commercial displays. It boasts a complete industrial chain ranging from magnetron sputtering coating, 3A cover glass processing, to full lamination of touch display modules. In 2025, this business segment achieved RMB 1.218 billion in revenue.
