Supor (002032.SZ) has unveiled its Q3 report, indicating a consistent uptick in revenue, albeit with profitability still in the process of rejuvenation. The company experienced a rebound in revenue growth during the third quarter, maintaining overall revenue stability in the first three quarters. As the home appliance market transitions towards replacement demand, this seasoned industry leader is exploring new avenues for growth through product enhancements, diversification, and international partnerships.

Revenue Exhibits Resilience

On October 22, Supor published its Q3 report for 2026. In Q3, the company recorded a revenue of RMB 5.582 billion, marking a 3.00% year-on-year increase. However, net profit attributable to shareholders declined by 4.95% year-on-year to RMB 405 million, with core net profit attributable to shareholders dropping by 6.95% year-on-year to RMB 383 million.

For the first three quarters, Supor's revenue reached RMB 16.992 billion, up 0.56% year-on-year. Net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 1.273 billion, down 6.84% year-on-year, while core net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 1.223 billion, down 7.28% year-on-year.

Amidst a generally sluggish demand in the home appliance sector, the company's revenue sustained positive growth, with the Q3 growth rate outpacing the overall trend of the first three quarters, underscoring the robustness of its brand and channel infrastructure.

The pressure on profitability did not solely originate from core business operations. In the first three quarters, the company's financial expenses surged to RMB 29.2735 million, compared to RMB -18.712 million in the same period last year, while interest income plummeted from RMB 23.7467 million to RMB 9.8775 million.

Furthermore, Supor's asset impairment losses ballooned from RMB 815,100 in the same period last year to RMB 18.4643 million in the first three quarters. The company attributed these performance fluctuations primarily to exchange losses due to RMB-USD exchange rate volatility, reduced interest income, and provisions for inventory write-downs resulting from slower inventory turnover.

Regarding cash flow, net cash generated from operating activities in the first three quarters was RMB 975 million, down 27.88% year-on-year. This suggests potential for improvement in inventory turnover, capital recovery, and profit realization efficiency.

Nevertheless, factors such as exchange rates and interest income are somewhat cyclical. If the inventory structure is subsequently optimized and cost disruptions diminish, profitability is also expected to rebound gradually.

Solid Foundations

Established in 1994, Supor has transformed from a cookware specialist into a comprehensive home appliance conglomerate, encompassing open-flame cookware, kitchen small appliances, kitchen and bathroom appliances, and lifestyle home appliances. Presently, the company boasts seven R&D and manufacturing bases, with its products distributed globally to over 80 countries and regions through its controlling shareholder, France's SEB Group.

According to the 2025 annual report, Supor achieved full-year revenue of RMB 22.772 billion, up 1.54% year-on-year, with net profit attributable to shareholders at RMB 2.097 billion, down 6.58% year-on-year.

By product category, electrical appliance revenue was RMB 15.489 billion, up 1.23% year-on-year, while cookware revenue was RMB 6.966 billion, up 1.89% year-on-year. Domestic core business revenue reached RMB 15.166 billion, up 2.77% year-on-year, whereas foreign trade core business revenue was RMB 7.338 billion, down 0.98% year-on-year.

Supor's core strengths remain evident. The company enjoys strong brand recognition in the cookware sector, with a wide array of products including rice cookers, pressure cookers, electric kettles, and air fryers. Its offline channels, e-commerce system, and after-sales network are relatively well-established.

AVC monitoring data reveals that in 2025, Supor's rotating flame pot steam far-infrared IH rice cooker has led the offline market share for six consecutive months since its launch, while its handheld garment steamers have maintained robust online competitiveness.

Mature brands must also adapt to evolving growth paradigms. Traditional categories like rice cookers, electric kettles, and food processors already boast high penetration rates, making it challenging to sustain growth through mere distribution expansion and promotional activities.

In recent years, Supor has fortified its premium and multi-category strategy, introducing products such as countertop water purifiers, ice makers, and microwaves, aiming to elevate average selling prices through functional innovation and expanded usage scenarios.

The 3.00% year-on-year revenue growth in Q3 suggests that the company's product and channel strategies are yielding some positive results. Moving forward, the ability of new categories to generate stable revenue while enhancing inventory turnover will determine whether this revenue recovery can translate into improved profitability.

Replacement Demand Expands Opportunities

Supor operates in a home appliance market that, while facing overall pressure, exhibits structural differentiation. AVC estimates indicate that in the first three quarters of 2026, China's home appliance market (excluding 3C products) had retail sales of approximately RMB 604.1 billion, down 10.0% year-on-year, with kitchen small appliance retail sales declining by 5.2% year-on-year.

Volume and price dynamics better elucidate industry trends. In the first half of 2026, total retail sales of kitchen small appliances across all channels were approximately RMB 30.26 billion, down 4.8% year-on-year, with sales volume at approximately 116 million units, down 14.6% year-on-year. However, the average price increased by 11.5% to RMB 260.

The market is not devoid of demand but is shifting from new purchases to quality upgrades. Consumers are buying less frequently but are more inclined to pay a premium for healthy cooking, smart control, cleaning convenience, and high-quality materials.

Structural opportunities are emerging. Categories like ice makers, electric steamers, and air fryers that cater to niche lifestyle needs continue to grow. Future growth in kitchen small appliances will stem more from product upgrades, scenario innovation, and consumer segmentation rather than mere sales volume expansion.

This is precisely where Supor can capitalize on its strengths. Its brand accumulation, manufacturing scale, channel coverage, and global collaboration with SEB Group facilitate the introduction of new products, sharing of R&D costs, and expansion into overseas markets.

Its multi-brand system also provides a foundation for catering to different price points and meeting demand for consumption upgrades.

Of course, the export business remains susceptible to exchange rates, tariffs, and overseas order fluctuations, while the domestic market faces dual competition from leading home appliance companies and new consumer brands.

To evaluate Supor's future value, in addition to monitoring revenue growth, one should observe whether inventory write-downs narrow, operating cash flow improves, and whether new products contribute higher gross margins.

For Supor, the future growth logic has shifted from scale expansion to quality enhancement. As long as revenue resilience is maintained and product upgrades are successfully implemented, the cyclical pressure on profitability still has room for recovery.
