Recently, Nitto Denko marked the commencement of its new factory in the Thang Long II Industrial Zone, Hung Yen Province, Vietnam, with a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This ambitious new factory project, boasting a total investment of $160 million, is dedicated to the production of cutting-edge high-tech products, notably polarizers for smartphones and automobiles. This move is poised to significantly enhance the global supply capacity for such high-tech products and components. The establishment of this facility in Vietnam underscores Nitto Denko's strategic commitment to expanding its global production footprint in Southeast Asia.

In tandem with its Vietnamese expansion, Nitto Denko is also ramping up its investment and production base in China. By September 2025, the company's OLED polarizer production base in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, is set to be completed and commence operations.

This project, with a staggering total investment of 2 billion yuan, is situated in the Chongzhou Economic Development Zone and is being executed by Nitto Material Technology (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. Spanning approximately 90 acres (inclusive of reserved land for a future Phase II expansion), the factory boasts a construction area of 60,000 square meters. Its primary focus is on manufacturing OLED polarizers and E-Mask large-size optical films. Once fully operational, the project is anticipated to generate annual revenues in excess of 4 billion yuan.

From its new factory in Vietnam to the OLED polarizer base in Chengdu, Nitto Denko is aggressively accelerating its global capacity deployment, with a particular emphasis on optical materials such as polarizers.
