Driving Momentum in Atomic-Level Ultra-Precision Optical Manufacturing: Lingding Optics Secures New Round of Financing

Lingding Optics (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("Lingding Optics") has recently completed a new round of financing, though the amount remains undisclosed.

The investor lineup for this round includes CASIC Jiahe, Shanghai STVC Group, Shanghai Guoxin Venture Capital, Guotai Haitong, Jinshi Investment, Lingang Blue Bay, Dzero Bay Venture Capital, Woyan Capital, Ningbo Integrated Circuit Industry Fund, and Haitong Kaiyuan, with existing shareholder Juntong Capital continuing its follow-on investment.

Recent developments indicate that Lingding Optics is advancing its ultra-precision manufacturing capabilities deeper into fields of national strategic importance. Its "Atomic-Level Ultra-Precision Optical Manufacturing Equipment and Processes" project targets high-end integrated circuit equipment and aerospace optoelectronic systems, and has established full-stack manufacturing capabilities integrating machining, testing, and assembly and alignment. The company aims to become one of the few private enterprises in China with mass production capability for integrated circuit optical systems, and plans to capture more than 90% of the segmented market share in core model batch production and delivery.

On the process side, the company's globally pioneering five-axis plus single-point diamond ultra-precision machining technology overcomes the limitations of traditional five-axis systems. By employing an original sixth axis, it achieves—for the first time—machining of Fresnel lenses on rollers, with ultra-precision machining accuracy reaching 100 nanometers and surface roughness as low as 2 nanometers.

The completion of this financing round will further support the company's capacity and technical barrier building in high-efficiency machining of extremely complex optical components and full-process intelligent closed-loop quality control.
