On March 17, at 7 pm, BYD hosted a groundbreaking event at its Shenzhen headquarters, unveiling its Super e-Platform technology and commencing pre-sales for the Han L and Tang L models.

The event's standout feature was "Megawatt Flash Charging, Matching the Speed of Gasoline Cars." BYD introduced 1000V ultra-high-voltage fast charging technology, revolutionizing the efficiency of electric vehicle charging.

The Super e-Platform represents another leap forward by BYD in pure electric technology. Its key innovation lies in supporting 1000V high-voltage technology and supercharging capabilities exceeding 5C. While most electric vehicles still employ 800V charging technology, BYD has leapfrogged to 1000V, maximizing charging power. This platform also integrates 12 core components, including a 23000rpm motor and silicon carbide electronic control, enabling a charging power of 800kW with a single gun and a total power of 1000kW in dual-gun mode.

This signifies that in the future, charging BYD vehicles could be as swift as refueling a gasoline car.

The Super e-Platform will initially be integrated into BYD's two flagship models: the Han L and Tang L.

The BYD Han L is positioned as a five-door, five-seat mid-to-large sedan, boasting dimensions of 5050mm in length, 1960mm in width, and 1505mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2970mm. The Tang L, on the other hand, is a mid-to-large SUV, measuring 5040mm in length, 1996mm in width, and 1760mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2950mm. It offers both six-seat and seven-seat configurations. Both models are available in plug-in hybrid and pure electric versions, equipped with advanced intelligent driving features such as Tian Shen Zhi Yan and Cloud Suspension - C suspension.

BYD aims to bolster its charging network by constructing a substantial number of ultra-fast charging stations. The new generation of these stations will first be installed and experienced at BYD 4S stores. Currently, some 4S stores have already completed payments and are preparing to install 1000kW charging piles.
