The Honor Magic series flagship phones have always been popular, and as we approach August, everyone is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Honor Magic7 series.
Firstly, based on currently exposed information, the Honor Magic7 series will be among the first to equip Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 flagship processor, and it is virtually confirmed that it will at least continue to use the LPDDR5X memory + UFS 4.0 storage combination.
Of course, one of the biggest selling points of the brand-new Honor Magic 7 series is that it will be equipped with the latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. This is Qualcomm's first mobile chip to adopt TSMC's 3nm process. It will adopt a custom-designed "Phoenix" core and a "2+6" all-big-core solution with a tentative name of "Oryon Architecture," abandoning Arm's public architecture solution. This will be a significant change in Qualcomm's history of 5G SoCs, enabling the device to perform even more impressively, easily tackling various complex tasks, and bringing us an ultimate performance experience. It is reported that the benchmark score of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 may exceed 3 million points, specifically between 3.3 and 3.6 million! Such a powerful chip paired with 24GB of RAM makes the gaming experience of the Honor Magic7 highly anticipated.
In addition, in terms of imaging, this series of new phones should also see considerable improvements. The standard version will feature a triple-camera setup comprising a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Both the main camera and the telephoto lens support optical image stabilization.
According to reports, the 50-megapixel main camera of the Magic7 standard version comes from the OmniVision OV50H sensor, which boasts a large 1/1.3-inch sensor size. This sensor has already been tested in multiple flagship models. According to industry insiders, as long as the algorithm does not fail, the image quality captured by this sensor is absolutely excellent. Additionally, it is certain that the periscope telephoto lens of the Honor Magic7 employs the Sony IMX882 sensor, so there should be a noticeable improvement in long-distance imaging quality compared to the currently available Honor Magic6. Furthermore, the Pro version will be equipped with a higher-quality OV50K sensor and a Samsung HP3 sensor with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor size, theoretically resulting in even better telephoto image quality.
Regarding battery life, the Honor Magic6 series already featured the second-generation Qinghai Lake battery. Current leaks suggest that the Magic7 series will come standard with the third-generation Qinghai Lake battery, which has a silicon content increased to 10%. Theoretically, under the same capacity, battery life should be even better. In particular, it is rumored that the Pro version's battery is expected to reach at least 6000mAh. Based on Honor's current power consumption optimization, even heavy users should have no problem using the device for an entire day.
Furthermore, in terms of peripheral configurations, leaks indicate that the Honor Magic7 series is expected to come standard with IP68 dust and water resistance across the entire lineup. The high-end configurations will also feature ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, coupled with the consistently employed 3D facial recognition technology, providing a comprehensive unlocking experience that is superior to other flagship phones.
Finally, what delights Mingmei Infinity even more is that despite the significant upgrades, the Honor Magic7 has not increased in price. Its starting price should begin with the number three, most likely at 3,999 yuan.
Alright, it is reported that the release date of the brand-new Honor Magic 7 series will be earlier than its predecessor, potentially within 2024. We eagerly await more detailed information.
