Dizziness on top of dizziness, the “Black Myth: Wukong” naked-eye 3D version is here, supported by only one device!

When it comes to the hottest game globally right now, I believe most people would choose “Black Myth: Wukong”. Personally, I think the records it has set will be difficult to break by other games for a long time to come (at least not by domestic game developers). Currently, the influence of “Black Myth: Wukong” has extended beyond the game itself. Some forward-thinking individuals have already started making money using the game, and some tourist attractions have also attracted many visitors due to some of the game's scenarios. More importantly, the game's successful “going global” has made it a phenomenal game.

Many people who have already experienced the game have a feeling that it is quite challenging. Moreover, due to the ultra-realistic 3D scenes, some have reported feeling dizzy when frequently switching game perspectives. Little did they know that there's an even higher level of dizziness: turning the game into a naked-eye 3D version, but supported by only one device – the upcoming Red Magic Tablet 3D Explorer Edition.

Today, Nubia President Ni Fei announced on social media that the upcoming Red Magic gaming tablet will be able to play the naked-eye 3D version of “Black Myth: Wukong.” This announcement sparks many discussions. The Red Magic gaming tablet uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chip, which is considered relatively powerful among tablet offerings. Equipped with the Ultra-Perception AI 3D Display Technology and the Magic Vision Engine, the tablet enables one-click 2D-to-3D conversion for games. Seeing this, does it feel familiar to you?

Indeed, many years ago, Nintendo consoles supported one-click 2D-to-3D conversion for games, but not all games could be converted, and the quality varied widely. However, for a top-tier 3A game like “Black Myth: Wukong,” the impressive 3D effects have already made some players feel dizzy. Adding naked-eye 3D would only exacerbate the dizziness. Of course, while some may find it uncomfortable, others will surely welcome the experience, as some people enjoy playing games with extreme 3D effects.

Essentially, naked-eye 3D primarily enhances the depth perception of images, making the gaming space feel more realistic and immersive for players. For players who are not accustomed to this, it can indeed cause dizziness, but for those who have a special preference, naked-eye 3D is an ultimate enjoyment. Imagine watching a 3D movie in a theater with 3D glasses; naked-eye 3D offers a similar experience.

The current issue is that while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 is a mobile device chip, “Black Myth: Wukong” does not have a true mobile version. Therefore, I speculate that playing on the tablet might involve some special methods, such as streaming the game's visuals from a computer to the tablet and controlling the game with the tablet. However, this method usually requires a game controller, but the video shows full-gesture operation on the tablet. It is expected that there may be some exclusive optimizations. Of course, streaming is not the only way, and those interested can try it out for themselves.

Would you be interested in this Red Magic gaming tablet because of its naked-eye 3D version of “Black Myth: Wukong”?
