According to a report by Quick Tech on September 10, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) recently released domestic automobile export data for August.

In August, 413,000 passenger vehicles (including complete vehicles and CKD) were exported, representing a year-on-year increase of 24% and a month-on-month increase of 9%. From January to August, a total of 3.04 million passenger vehicles were exported, representing a year-on-year increase of 30%.

Among them, 99,000 new energy passenger vehicles were exported, representing a year-on-year increase of 23.7%, a month-on-month increase of 7.6%, and accounting for 24% of passenger vehicle exports.

In terms of manufacturers, BYD exported the most new energy passenger vehicles in August, with 30,451 vehicles, far ahead of other brands and accounting for 30% of the total new energy exports.

Tesla followed closely behind with 23,241 vehicles exported. Although Tesla's Shanghai factory supplies markets such as Canada, North America, and Europe, there was still a gap of 7,000 vehicles between its August exports and those of BYD.

The third to tenth places were taken by SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle (5,128 vehicles), Chery Automobile (4,472 vehicles), SAIC-GM-Wuling (3,427 vehicles), XPeng Motors (2,500 vehicles), Great Wall Motor (2,394 vehicles), Nezha Auto (1,489 vehicles), Geely Auto (1,402 vehicles), and BMW Brilliance Automotive (967 vehicles).

The CPCA stated that as China's new energy vehicles demonstrate their scale advantages and market expansion needs, Chinese-made new energy brand products are increasingly going abroad, with continuous improvement in overseas recognition.

Despite recent interference from external countries, the export of self-developed plug-in hybrids to developing countries has grown rapidly, presenting a bright future.
