Fast Technology News on December 6, the latest design details of Tesla's self-driving taxi, Cybercab, have been revealed, showcasing significant advancements in structural optimization.
According to reports, the number of components in Cybercab will be reduced by approximately 50% compared to the Model 3, and the number of body structure components is reduced by 60% compared to the Model Y.
This improvement is expected to further enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk is confident about the prospects of Cybercab, predicting that the new vehicle will cost less than $30,000 and plans to enter mass production as early as the end of 2026 or no later than 2027.
Cybercab's exterior design features a coupe-style with a double-door, a front face featuring a through-type light strip and high-tech projected image headlights, dynamic side lines, butterfly doors, and a rear design similar to the Cybertruck with a through-type taillight cluster.
The interior of Cybercab embodies a futuristic feel, with no steering wheel, accelerator, or brake pedals, relying solely on Tesla's FSD autonomous driving technology.
The seats are integrated with segmented backrests and cushions, featuring a foldable center armrest and a center screen display.
Furthermore, Cybercab may adopt wireless inductive charging technology and be equipped with robotic arms for automatic in-car cleaning.
