Consumer Daily - Jinzhao News: Recently, AI agent phones have become a hot topic among consumers, drawing widespread attention.
According to the Securities Times, as of 11:30 AM on September 15, data from the JD.com platform revealed that the first AI agent phone, developed jointly by ZTE and ByteDance—the Nubia NaviX Ultra (also known as "Doubao Mobile Phone II")—has already amassed over 370,000 pre-orders.
Furthermore, as reported by the Kechuangban Daily, unlike last year's technical preview version of the first-generation Doubao Mobile Phone, this iteration comes equipped with the first consumer version of the Doubao Mobile Assistant. The phone is set for its official launch on September 16.

Public information indicates that the "Doubao Mobile Phone II" features a distinctive orange independent AI physical button with integrated fingerprint recognition. After fingerprint authentication, users can directly activate the Doubao Assistant and perform tasks across different apps without the need to unlock the entire device.
In terms of AI capabilities, the product highlights four key features: natural language understanding, closed-loop execution of cross-app tasks, user habit memory, and privacy protection. It supports natural language commands, enabling continuous operations across multiple applications.
Regarding hardware specifications, the phone boasts a flagship processor, a 200-megapixel primary camera, and a large-capacity battery that supports 90W to 100W wired fast charging. It also features domestic high-speed LPDDR5X memory. In terms of aesthetics, the phone is available in four colors: black, pink, white, and blue.

Regarding pricing, according to Xinhuanghe, which obtained information from informed sources, due to factors such as rising memory prices, the price of the Doubao Mobile Phone II is expected to exceed 4,000 yuan, higher than the first-generation price of 3,499 yuan.
Data indicates that the development of the Doubao Mobile Phone officially commenced in the first half of 2024, utilizing a collaborative ODM model throughout the process. The primary deep-collaboration manufacturer is ZTE and its subsidiary brand, Nubia.
In December 2025, the two parties jointly launched the Nubia M153 as the technical preview engineering machine for the first-generation Doubao Mobile Phone. This marked the first AI phone model in China to achieve deep system-level integration of the Doubao large model, supporting autonomous cross-app operations. It can complete complex multi-step tasks, such as ordering food, booking tickets, creating and publishing graphics and text content, and conducting price comparisons, with a single natural language command.

It is reported that only 30,000 units of the first-generation Doubao Mobile Phone were produced in limited quantities and quickly sold out after launch. Due to its positioning as an ecological adaptation test, ByteDance did not place additional mass production orders for the first-generation model, using it solely as a technical validation platform.
Industry insiders note that the transition of the Doubao Mobile Phone from the first-generation engineering prototype to the second-generation mass-produced model reflects the shift of AI agent phones from the technical validation phase to the commercialization phase.
Currently, mainstream mobile phone manufacturers are advancing the development of on-device AI capabilities. Most products incorporate AI functions through independent AI applications, whereas the Nubia NaviX Ultra integrates Doubao agent capabilities at the system level, making it the first mass-produced AI agent phone aimed at the general public in China.
The pre-order data underscores high user anticipation for this model, but the actual performance of the product remains to be evaluated by users following its official launch.
