Xiaomi workshop under heavy production pressure: New workers have arrived, finally able to take a breather!

On October 10, photos celebrating the topping-out ceremony of the body shop in Xiaomi's second-phase automobile factory were circulated on social media.

This second-phase Xiaomi automobile factory is located to the east of Xiaomi's Yizhuang automobile factory in Beijing. The total construction area of the project is approximately 400,000 square meters, with 391,500 square meters above ground and 8,503.33 square meters underground. The maximum building height is 15.95 meters, the green space ratio is 15.04%, and there are a total of 1,009 parking spaces for motor vehicles. (Data sourced from Xiaomi official)

In late July, Xiaomi successfully bid for this land parcel for RMB 842 million and completed the structural topping-out of the factory workshop within just 2 months.

Lei Jun, the founder of Xiaomi, revealed on social media during the National Day holiday that Xiaomi's SU7 model had locked in orders for over 6,000 units and announced October's production and delivery targets, namely 20,000 vehicles for both production and delivery. He also mentioned that Xiaomi Automobile delivered over 10,000 vehicles in September.

Lei Jun also mentioned that Xiaomi has built two smart factories this year, namely the mobile phone factory in Changping and the automobile factory in Yizhuang.
