The future of industry is never certain, and only by actively embracing change can we find stability amidst change and seek change amidst stability. On October 17th, the 2024 Fortune China 500 Summit kicked off in Shanghai. He Jun, Vice President of TCL Industry and CEO of Gecreate, was invited to participate in the roundtable discussion on "Advancing Industrial 4.0". Together with leaders from Tencent Cloud, Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning, New Hope Group, and other enterprises, they provided in-depth insights into the path and trends of industrial intelligence and offered systematic advice on the application of AI technology from research and development to implementation.
Currently, the centuries-old history of industrialization is gradually reshaping manufacturing modes in the digital world. AI applications driven by "industrial data" are evolving into the "invisible hand" of smart factories, fundamentally changing traditional industrial forms that have spanned eras. In He Jun's view, the realization of intelligent equipment is a hallmark of Industrial 4.0. With the explosion of AI application scenarios, we are actually advancing towards Industrial 5.0, evolving from intelligence to wisdom. In Industrial 5.0, equipment not only possesses self-driving and self-recognition capabilities but also advances to the point where it can configure its own logic, judge its strengths and weaknesses, and provide predictive and referential suggestions. Therefore, He Jun believes that AI is a crucial lever. Once AI acquires the ability to understand the regularity and unknown logic of industrial data, factories will be taken over by numerous AI agents, providing consulting services for unforeseen problems and addressing both visible and invisible issues in factory operations.
In promoting the systematic implementation of AI, Gecreate's practice goes far beyond what the general public might imagine. When discussing how to select different industrial scenarios, He Jun explained that Gecreate has been focused on providing a trifecta of services combining "AI + industrial software + intelligent equipment," shifting from a software-as-a-service approach to a service-as-software model. A clear example is Gecreate's human-machine collaboration system tailored for the equipment industry. This system converts diverse and personalized industrial data from customer sites into structured data. Through a series of value extractions involving data mining, data relationship establishment, and data referencing, Gecreate utilizes IoT and AI technologies to implement the human-machine collaboration system, overseeing both "people" and "matters" in complex factory scenarios. This helps customers identify patterns among people, equipment, and management, enhancing production balance rates. Starting from visible customer pain points, analyzing common goals based on data fundamentals, and ultimately delivering value-added software is a process where service becomes software.
Regarding the vision for the future of industry, He Jun succinctly summarized it as follows: Firstly, he hopes that industry can provide a brighter future for workers and engineers. Secondly, the future undoubtedly lies in super-intelligent factories where humans and machines coexist harmoniously.
Enough ripples can change the direction of a river. Based on its independently controllable industrial AI platform and industrial large model platform, Gecreate has developed a series of AI software and hardware integrated industrial intelligence solutions tailored to customer needs. Notably, the company's self-developed AOI intelligent equipment and AMHS solutions have been widely recognized by customers in the broader semiconductor industry for achieving exceptional yield and efficiency. Smart factories connected to Gecreate's industrial AI platform and industrial large model platform can utilize tools like Chat Search and Chat BI to respond to changes in business needs with extreme flexibility, integrating and scheduling information in real-time, lowering the threshold for worker and engineer system usage, and enhancing human-computer interaction convenience. Additionally, through natural language interaction, they can output valuable suggestions and decision support, continuously learn and optimize, and accumulate and establish an industry knowledge and experience expert database.
It is known that since its inception, Gecreate has consistently adhered to various approaches such as internal research and development, strategic partnerships, project accumulation, and talent integration and cultivation to build up its cutting-edge technology and industry experience. The company specializes in providing "out-of-the-box" end-to-end digital upgrade services and industrial intelligence solutions tailored to customer sites. This fact has been verified in numerous projects. Gecreate will continue to uphold its vision of making industry smarter, leveraging the three pillars of "AI + industrial software + intelligent equipment" to deliver more advanced and convenient digital upgrade services that accompany the entire lifecycle of manufacturing, thereby accelerating high-quality development.
