On November 12, Baidu World 2024 successfully concluded at the Shanghai World Expo Center. The conference invited top global AI partners to create a technological feast. Yunji Technology was invited to attend the event, showcasing its multifunctional robot "UP" dressed in fine attire, demonstrating the application and practical results of embodied intelligent robots in various scenarios.

During the event, Baidu and partners like Yunji Technology created an AI-infused living environment experience space. The over 5,000-square-meter "AI Application Town" gathered numerous cutting-edge technology products, allowing participants to experience a series of novel and interesting innovative products and AI applications up close. Yunji Technology's "UP" robot garnered significant attention at the event, showcasing the unlimited potential of intelligent robots in innovative applications with its three prominent advantages: using tools, understanding and reasoning tasks, and human-robot collaborative group intelligence.

Make super apps both highly capable and user-friendly

It is understood that Yunji Technology previously collaborated with DuerOS to integrate robot services with the full chain of DuerOS AI voice, enabling hotel service robots to achieve multi-loop closures for multi-device request portal work order services. Previously, DuerOS's voice interaction, inquiry, and in-room smart device control functions provided users with convenient and comfortable services. Now, connected with Yunji Technology's robot services, DuerOS directly transmits task orders to Yunji Technology's robots after receiving user instructions. The robots can autonomously complete guest services such as fetching and delivering items, without the need for human intervention throughout the process, making the robots the "AI servers" of hotel smart spaces.

The collaboration between the two parties has further broadened the application of AI services, realizing multi-entry AI demand, closed-loop AI execution, and multi-loop work order statistics. Taking hotels as an example, this approach saves costs on procuring switches and telephones. Simultaneously, the closed-loop service formed by the interconnection of smart devices significantly improves service response speed and efficiency, eliminating the need for hotel front desks to operate two backends.

To date, Yunji robots have been widely used in over 30,000 hotels, hospitals, factories, and other establishments worldwide, providing closed-loop services to over one million people daily, with cumulative service exceeding one billion person-times.

Agents will become the standard and infrastructure for business operations, not only for individual users but also bringing changes to business models and logic across numerous industries, especially in supply-demand matching, cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, and content innovation, where they are playing an increasingly important role.

Yunji Technology's in-depth service centered on scenario intelligence achieves an "end-to-end" service closure, constructing an "embodied intelligence + scenario intelligence" interactive and integrated scenario "agent." It is reported that its service digitization operation system, HDOS, recently iterated to version 2.0, upgrading hotels into "hotel agents" through deep-level software and hardware linkages. On the one hand, it combines information processing on the demand side with embodied intelligence on the execution side, forming a complete closed loop for information flow, task flow, and workflow. On the other hand, it opens API ports to interconnect with smart devices in the scenario, such as TVs, phones, speakers, and elevators, creating an online and offline integrated, operable, and collaborative agent.

Faced with the diversity and temporality of hotel demands in time and space, HDOS can link pre-stay, in-stay, and post-stay hotel services to create an ecosystem, allowing robots to participate in the full process of service flow perception, cognition, decision-making, execution, and feedback, forming a self-closed loop for the entire AI service lifecycle and composing a hotel AI digital service network to help hotels achieve fully intelligent operational management.

Being highly capable and user-friendly is more meaningful than being a super app. As Baidu's Robin Li said, "Agents will become the standard and infrastructure for business operations." From content-generating agents to scenario agents, Yunji Technology is once again at the forefront.
