While there's no strict rule governing the naming suffixes of mobile phones, allowing manufacturers to label their devices as they see fit, consumers often perceive things differently. When it comes to the Pro Max variants that domestic manufacturers are about to introduce, many suspect they're mimicking Apple. The Xiaomi ecosystem has already set this trend, and other domestic players are following suit. However, when it comes to the brand with the most Pro Max models, OPPO might just take the crown. There were already whispers online about a Pro Max variant in the Reno 15 series, and now, the OnePlus Pro Max is also making headlines.

Some netizens have shared photos of the OnePlus Ace 6 Pro Max packaging box, which was spotted on an airport baggage carousel, hinting that the official launch of the phone is imminent. Of course, industry insiders understand that such sightings are merely a tactic to leak product information. Previously, numerous phones have been "accidentally" discovered in public places like airplanes, subways, and shopping malls. Despite being a new model, the features and configurations of the OnePlus Ace 6 Pro Max are not difficult to predict.

OnePlus has already dropped hints that the global debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen5 chipset will take place in an upcoming major new model. Unsurprisingly, that model is the Ace 6 Pro Max that was recently sighted. This chipset packs a punch. Although its main core frequency is slightly lower than that of the Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition, its benchmark score surpasses 3.4 million points, making it a worthy contender for some sub-flagship models. However, the issue arises when considering that competitors' Pro Max models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Supreme 5th Generation, making the OnePlus Ace 6 Pro Max seem slightly less powerful in terms of chipset performance.

But OnePlus plans to compensate in other areas. The Ace 6 Pro Max will feature a battery capacity exceeding 8000mAh, which is relatively large among newly released models, naturally ensuring longer battery life. Its gaming capabilities will at least maintain the ultra-high standards set by the Ace 6, and may even surpass them. The most significant upgrades are likely to be in the imaging department.

Both the previous-generation Ace 5 series and the new Ace 6 have been criticized for their weak imaging capabilities. Now, with the upgrade to Pro Max, one would expect at least a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, if not a 200-megapixel sensor. The main camera parameters should also see an upgrade, and the ultra-wide-angle lens should no longer be stuck at 8 megapixels, most likely upgrading to 50 megapixels as well. Otherwise, the gap compared to competitors' Pro Max models would be too significant.

In terms of screen quality, it should remain consistent with the standard version, coupled with truly top-tier IP66/68/69/69K dust and water resistance and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint recognition. However, OnePlus must have some ace features up its sleeve. Otherwise, the above-mentioned configurations, while impressive, might seem somewhat underwhelming for a Pro Max model. OnePlus definitely won't let their new model appear so ordinary.

Previously, it was rumored that there would be comprehensive breakthroughs, but from the exposed information, it seems not comprehensive enough. New features have already made their appearance on the Ace 6, but the exact breakthrough point remains elusive. As for pricing, I personally speculate a starting price of 3699 yuan. I'm curious to see how many people are intrigued.
