Time flies, and half of July is almost gone. Mingmei Infinite calculates that there are only a few days left of summer vacation. (Just kidding)
That is to say, Huawei's Mate 70, Apple's iPhone 16, as well as a wave of new devices with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen4 and MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chips are likely to meet us in September or October... They're just around the corner. Especially Huawei Mate 70, after last month's HDC (Huawei Developer Conference), various leaked information has been flooding in, with new ones every day.
Just these days, Mingmei Infinite has seen rumors that dealers have started taking pre-orders for the Mate 70, so let's talk about the current situation of Huawei Mate 70 today – from my observation, it may truly achieve another "far ahead".
First of all, amidst the ever-changing smartphone market, the exposure of Huawei Mate70 series undoubtedly brings new heat to the market. As Huawei's flagship for the second half of the year, the Mate70 series has attracted much attention since its exposure, with its powerful hardware configuration, innovative design, and leading software system all generating high expectations.
Recently, it was reported that Huawei has lifted the ban on mentioning Kirin chips in offline store sales. Now, Huawei stores can openly introduce the Kirin 9000S series chips in the Huawei Mate60 series and the Kirin 9010 series chips in the Huawei Pura 70.
Industry insiders believe that with the return of Kirin chips to the public eye, we may see Yu Chengdong passionately introducing the performance of Kirin chips again at the upcoming Mate70 series launch event.
It's worth mentioning that Yu Chengdong has publicly stated that the Huawei Mate 70 series will be released in the fourth quarter of this year, facing the tide of new flagship devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and MediaTek Dimensity 9400. And recently, the latest renders of Huawei Mate 70 have been exposed.
The reliability of these renders is significantly higher than the previous "cat paw" design. According to the images, Huawei Mate 70 continues the large-area star ring camera module design, with a spliced back cover, and metal studs added to the camera module. Although the front view of the Huawei Mate 70 series is not shown in the image, current mainstream leaked information indicates that the Huawei Mate 70 series is expected to continue the distinctive three-hole curved screen design of the Mate 60 series.
According to previous exposures, the Huawei Mate 70 series will be equipped with HarmonyOS Next, a new system that brings a better user experience. In terms of core components, the Mate 70 series will also adopt the latest Kirin chips, with performance returning to the first tier.
According to the leaker, with the support of Pure HarmonyOS, the Mate 70 series will see significant improvements in performance, power consumption, and AI capabilities.
It is reported that due to the adoption of a fully self-developed system base and the abandonment of traditional AOSP code, Pure HarmonyOS has significantly improved fluency.
Moreover, the new system only supports HarmonyOS kernel and HarmonyOS applications, which directly reduces redundant code by about 40%, further enhancing system fluency and security.
There was previously news that under HarmonyOS Next (Pure Version) on the Mate 70 series, the operating system triples the efficiency of memory utilization.
In other words, running on the independent HarmonyOS platform is much more efficient than under the Android system (three times higher efficiency) on the same platform.
Additionally, Huawei Mate 70 is expected to introduce a titanium metal version, exclusive to the Pro+ model, showcasing a different product tier.
In terms of imaging, the Huawei Mate 70 series will adopt a 50-megapixel domestic large-size CMOS sensor. Huawei will also retune algorithms based on hardware configuration and conduct in-depth optimization to significantly enhance the phone's photography experience.
It's also worth mentioning that with the support of 3D spatial zoom for audio and video, the recording experience of Huawei Mate 70 series will be enhanced.
According to previous leaks, the Huawei Mate 70 series comes standard with OmniVision sensors, with the standard version featuring OV50H and the high-end version OV50K.
In terms of network connectivity, the Huawei Mate70 series has achieved a significant breakthrough. It supports the latest 5.5G communication technology, with downlink speeds up to 10Gbps and uplink speeds up to 1Gbps. Such speeds not only ensure a smooth experience for users in daily use but also provide a solid network foundation for high-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming and large file transfers.
As for the specific release plan of Huawei Mate 70 series, it remains to be confirmed. It's not ruled out that Huawei may continue its recent trend of not holding a launch event and suddenly making the devices available for purchase.
Of course, as Huawei's annual flagship, we can expect to see the new Kirin platform on the Huawei Mate 70 series. As for performance, manufacturing process, and other information, we'll have to wait until the new devices are released.
In conclusion, as Huawei's flagship for the second half of the year, the Mate70 series has reached new heights in hardware configuration, software system, and design. Its powerful performance, innovative design, and leading imaging technology are highly anticipated. As the release date approaches, I believe the Mate70 series will bring a visual and technological feast to the market.
