IPhone 16 latest exposure is about to blow up: Netizens exclaim, "Sure enough, it's you, Apple!"

With less than two months to go before Apple's fall event, the iPhone 16 series has already entered mass production.

As the event approaches, news about the new phones is becoming more frequent and reliable.

Firstly, TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently released an investment briefing stating that after WWDC 2024, rumors occasionally surfaced that Apple was adding orders for the iPhone 16 series. However, supply chain news from TSMC and Largan Precision both suggest that Apple has not increased orders.

Kuo believes that some suppliers for the iPhone 16 series in the second half of the year did encounter situations where orders were added, but from an EMS/assembly perspective, 2H24 iPhone 16 orders did not change significantly (approximately 87 million units), still slightly lower than 2H23 iPhone 15 orders (approximately 91 million units).

If TSMC, Largan Precision, and assembly vendors' order trends are consistent, this trend should be quite informative; as for the increase in iPhone 16 orders for certain vendors, it may be related to specific reasons in individual industries or components.

The introduction of Apple Intelligence is generally considered the reason for the increase in iPhone 16 orders. However, Apple Intelligence is currently only available as a beta version for US users to test in the second half of the year, and Apple Intelligence Siri only supports English.

Regardless of whether Apple Intelligence alone can drive demand for new phone purchases (which is a separate, significant issue), expecting consumers to buy a new iPhone 16 for a beta version of Apple Intelligence in 2H24 may be overly optimistic.

In addition to production volumes, other details about the iPhone 16 series have also been exposed. It is reported that the all-new iPhone 16 series will include four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. All models will be equipped with the A18 processor, one of Apple's most advanced processors. According to related leaks, the A18 processor will also use a larger chip size to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) performance.

It's worth mentioning that although both use the A18 processor, there may be some differences between the two standard versions and the two Pro versions. For example, there may be differences in the number of CPU and GPU cores.

To give the iPhone 16 series even more powerful computational power and energy efficiency compared to the current iPhone 15 series, Apple has not only equipped the entire series with the A18 series chip built on TSMC's second-generation 3nm process technology but also significantly increased the memory space across the line, with all four models featuring 8GB of RAM.

The current iPhone 15 series, excluding the iPhone 15 Pro series, has 6GB of RAM for the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Don't underestimate this 2GB increase in RAM, as it can significantly enhance the phone's performance, smoothness, and lifespan. 8GB of RAM provides better overall performance and a smoother user experience compared to 6GB.

Furthermore, according to current information, the new iPhone 16 standard models will continue to use the same screen size and 19.5:9 aspect ratio as their predecessors, while the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature larger screens. The former is expected to have a 6.3-inch display, while the latter will reach 6.9 inches, making it the largest iPhone ever. These two models will also adopt a new 19.6:9 aspect ratio, meaning they will be slightly taller and narrower than current models.

Moreover, in addition to larger screens and a taller, narrower aspect ratio, the iPhone 16 series' bezels will also break records, achieving the narrowest in the industry. The black bezels on the Pro version are only 1.2mm, and those on the Pro Max are even narrower at 1.15mm, making them the narrowest globally. While this change sounds impressive, it may not have much practical impact...

Besides, it is rumored that the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have larger batteries than their predecessors, but the capacity of the iPhone 16 Plus may decrease. It is said that the battery capacity of the iPhone 16 has increased by 6% compared to the iPhone 15, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has increased by 5%. In contrast, the battery capacity of the iPhone 16 Plus is rumored to have decreased by 9%. On the other hand, Apple may also use stacked battery technology to improve energy density and extend the lifespan of the entire product line.

Additionally, all iPhone 16 series models will feature a new "capture button" dedicated to triggering photo or video capture. This button will add functions such as zooming in and out by swiping left or right on the button, focusing on the subject by tapping the button, and activating recording by pressing firmly on the button. The capture button will be located in the lower right corner of the iPhone 16, replacing the mmWave antenna on US iPhone models, which will be repositioned to the left side of the device, below the volume and action buttons.

Finally, according to well-known leakers and insiders, the iPhone 16 series is scheduled to be released in September 2024 and will go on sale within the following one to two weeks. Regarding pricing, while there is no official information at present, based on previous iPhone series pricing strategies, it is expected that the iPhone 16 series will maintain similar pricing levels to the iPhone 15 series. Specifically, the starting price of the iPhone 16 may be around 5,999 yuan, while the higher-end Pro and Pro Max versions may be priced around 7,999 yuan and 9,999 yuan, respectively.

Well, it is reported that the all-new iPhone 16 series will be released in September and is about to enter mass production.
