The past six weeks have been incredibly challenging for Lei Jun.

Indeed, following that incident, Xiaomi faced severe criticism from numerous netizens, some of whom fueled the fire by spreading various rumors and negative comments.

Nevertheless, there's little that can be done about such situations. As an internet brand, Xiaomi reaps the benefits of digital marketing but also faces the drawback of any issues being magnified significantly.

However, judging by the current circumstances, Xiaomi has already navigated through the storm. In fact, as long as the products are excellent, criticisms only serve to strengthen the brand.

Xiaomi has now developed China's most advanced 3nm chip and launched the YU7. Recently, it also responded to everyone's doubts by releasing its most robust financial report ever.

In the first quarter of 2025, Xiaomi's revenue amounted to 111.3 billion yuan, marking a 47.4% increase. For two consecutive quarters, revenue exceeded 100 billion yuan, and for the first time, it surpassed 110 billion yuan, setting a new record.

Profit reached 10.7 billion yuan, representing a 64.5% increase. Despite its large scale, Xiaomi continues to maintain such a high growth rate, akin to an elephant gracefully dancing.

This outstanding performance is attributed to the continued robust growth across all business lines.

In the mobile phone segment, revenue reached 50.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.9%. Shipments in the first quarter totaled 41.8 million units, a year-on-year increase of 3.0%. Revenue growth outpaced shipment growth due to the higher average selling price of Xiaomi phones.

The average selling price of Xiaomi phones in this quarter was 1210.6 yuan, a record high and a year-on-year increase of 5.8%. Evidently, Xiaomi has made significant strides in high-end development. In the Chinese market, the proportion of Xiaomi's high-end smartphone shipments reached 25%, contributing to an overall price increase.

Examining other businesses, Xiaomi's IoT and consumer products revenue was 32.3 billion yuan, an increase of 58.7%; internet service revenue reached 9.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.8%.

Furthermore, the total revenue from Xiaomi's smart electric vehicles and AI and other innovative business segments amounted to 18.6 billion yuan, compared to 16.6 billion yuan in the previous quarter, a clear increase of 2 billion yuan. Additionally, the automotive business lost 500 million yuan this quarter, with losses narrowing.

It's evident that from a business standpoint, all of Xiaomi's ventures are experiencing significant growth.

Whether it's mobile phones, IoT and consumer products, internet services, or automobiles, there has been notable expansion this quarter. Notably, the mobile phone business, which accounts for half of the revenue, performed exceptionally well, leading to Xiaomi's strongest quarterly financial report ever.

Given this development momentum, there's a high likelihood that Xiaomi will set another record in the second quarter. After all, the mobile phone, home appliance, and automotive businesses are still growing at a rapid pace. Especially the automotive business, with the delivery of the SU7 Ultra and the launch of the YU7, is poised to contribute even higher revenue to Xiaomi.
