According to Quick Tech News on July 19, today's sudden blue screen of death on the Windows system is just the tip of the iceberg, as per Microsoft's statement, there has been a massive global outage affecting its applications.
Today, Microsoft announced that there has been an interruption in access to its Microsoft 365 series of services, affecting but not limited to various Microsoft 365 applications and Microsoft Xbox, among others.
According to Microsoft's official announcement, the outage originated from the Azure regional data center in the central United States, and Microsoft's current strategy is to route traffic to other unaffected regions in an attempt to restore service.
It is reported that starting from 21:56 local time on July 18, some customers may encounter issues with multiple Azure services in the central region of the United States.
How serious is the situation? West Japan Railway Company (JR West Japan) was unable to obtain train location information due to a Windows system failure, and Australian airlines, banks, government networks, enterprises, and supermarket self-checkout machines were also affected.
Currently, Microsoft in the United States is investigating the cause of the issue and seeking a solution.
