From the entire Honor series to Yuan UP, Sea Lion 07EV, Qin L DM-i, and Dolphin 06 DM-i, BYD has introduced quite a few new models in 2024. However, for BYD, which has an increasing number of brands and series, it is far from enough. Recently, spy photos of 5 all-new models under BYD have been concentratedly exposed, indicating that they are not far from mass production.

Song L DM-i

The Song L currently on sale is a pure electric SUV. This Song L DM-i looks like a hybrid version of the Song L, but that's not the case. They are on different platforms, and the Song L DM-i can be seen as the successor model to the current Song PLUS DM-i. In the future, this model is expected to be sold on the Dynasty network, while the current Song PLUS DM-i will still be sold on the Ocean network and may be renamed Sea Lion 05 DM-i.

The design also differs significantly from the pure electric Song L. The new car adopts BYD's latest Dragon Face 2.0 design language, with a slender light group connected to the grille, and a large-size ventilated grille below. The side does not adopt a fastback design, but still comes with low-drag styling wheels and hidden door handles. The rear end features a through-type taillight and a hidden exhaust.

Currently, BYD's fifth-generation DM-i plug-in hybrid system has started to be installed on vehicles, preceded by Qin L and Dolphin 06 DM-i. This Song L DM-i will also be equipped with the new system. The new system consists of a 1.5L engine and a motor, with a comprehensive maximum range of up to 2,100 kilometers and a NEDC fuel consumption of only 2.9L/100km under depleted conditions.

Dolphin 06 GT

On May 28, the Dolphin 06 DM-i just went on sale, and its starting price of 99,800 yuan truly highlights its cost-effectiveness. This Dolphin 06 GT is a pure electric sedan. Although it is the production version of the OCEAN-M concept car previously released at the Beijing Auto Show, judging from its name, it is equivalent to the GT version of the Dolphin 06.

The exterior design also carries over many styles of the Dolphin 06 DM-i, such as the headlights and hood sections of the front are basically the same, but the "shark gills" air ducts, three-piece air intake, black center console, front lip similar to a front spoiler, etc., are more prominent in sports atmosphere. Due to the length of only 4.6 meters, the two-box body on the side appears compact and full, and the rear end has a rich sense of hierarchy, with rear surrounds, diffusers, smoked through-type taillights, etc., all highlighting the sense of sportiness. The interior basically adopts the same layout as the Dolphin 06 DM-i, with integrated sports seats, crystal shift levers, a rotatable floating central control screen, etc.

According to previous filing information, the Dolphin 06 GT will adopt two power layouts: rear-wheel drive with a single motor and four-wheel drive with dual motors. The rear-wheel drive model with a single motor offers two different drive motors with maximum powers of 160 kW and 165 kW, respectively. The front axle of the four-wheel drive model with dual motors is equipped with an AC asynchronous motor with a maximum power of 110 kW, while the rear axle is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 200 kW. The car will be equipped with battery packs of two specifications with capacities of 59.52 kWh or 72.96 kWh, corresponding to a range of 505 kilometers, 605 kilometers, and 550 kilometers (or a four-wheel drive version) under CLTC conditions.

New Yangwang U8

As BYD's top-tier new energy off-road SUV based on the Yi Sifang technology platform, Yangwang U8 has always been the focus of consumer attention since its debut. The vehicle is fully independently developed by BYD. Compared with traditional off-road vehicles, it not only adopts comprehensive electrical technology but also globally pioneered the Yi Sifang technology of "four motors independently driving four wheels".

With the support of Yi Sifang technology, Yangwang U8 not only boasts an amazing maximum power of 1,200 horsepower, achieving "0-100 km/h" in 3.6 seconds, but also realizes innovative features such as in-place U-turns, agile steering, and four-wheel linkage. With the support of a 2.0T super-range extender and a 49.05kWh capacity lithium battery, the car's CLTC pure electric range has also reached 1,000 km.

Recently exposed are suspected interior spy photos of the new Yangwang U8, which features a fully liquid crystal instrument panel, a large-size central control screen, a co-pilot entertainment screen, and two streaming media rearview mirror displays, with a total of 5 screens in the front row alone.

FANGCHENGBAO Leopard 3

Leopard 3 is the third model in FANGCHENGBAO's "583 hardcore family," positioned as a mid-size SUV and also the brand's first pure electric product. The new car is expected to be launched within the year, with a pre-sale price starting at 220,000 yuan. The exterior design of this car has been previously exposed in related spy photos and details, and recently, the interior style has been revealed for the first time.

The new car may come in three different versions, and due to tight camouflage, it is roughly guessed that it should have a closed grille, a through-type light group, a trapezoidal front surround, etc. The overall lines of the car are tough and will be equipped with hidden door handles and protruding wheel arches. The rear end may also feature a roof spoiler, high-mounted brake light, half-wrapped spare tire, and an external small backpack. Judging from the exposed spy photos, its interior should be similar to that of the Leopard 5, with a suspended large screen and a liquid crystal instrument panel in the center console, as well as a four-spoke steering wheel, an aircraft pushrod shift lever, etc.

In terms of power, the FANGCHENGBAO Leopard 3 will adopt a pure electric power system and will offer a dual-motor four-wheel drive version, with a maximum power expected to exceed 310kW. The body size is smaller than that of the Leopard 5 but may still exceed 4,600mm in length, with a wheelbase of up to 2,750mm.

Tengshi's New SUV

Tengshi currently has two SUVs on sale, namely the mid-size SUV Tengshi N7 and the large-size SUV Tengshi N8. The recently exposed model is also an SUV, perhaps the Tengshi N9. In February of this year, Zhao Changjiang, General Manager of Tengshi's Sales Business Department, shared a photo of Tengshi's flagship SUV on social media, which is very similar to the spy photos exposed this time. Combined with Tengshi's product planning, it is speculated that this should be the Tengshi N9, to be released within the year.

Judging from the vehicle size, it will compete with large SUVs like the Lixiang L9, and it is expected to have considerable third-row space. The design is still not very apparent, with a relatively thick and heavy overall appearance, and the side view reveals fast and slow charging interfaces. In terms of power, the new car may be similar to the Tengshi Z9 GT, with a three-motor four-wheel drive setup.
