When it comes to who is the strongest in high-level intelligent driving today, Huawei's ADS is undoubtedly one of them. As early as late April, Huawei's Qiankun brand was officially launched, accompanied by the latest ADS 3.0 and ADS SE. The first models to feature these two technologies will be the Enjoyer S9, which will be launched on August 6, and the newly launched SL03 today.
The Huawei Qiankun ADS SE equipped in the SL03 boasts capabilities such as highway navigation, intelligent obstacle avoidance, and intelligent parking. Although it cannot achieve high-level intelligent driving in urban areas like ADS 3.0, it is already practical enough, providing most of the essential functions.
SL Automobile officially announced that the SL03 will be offered in 10 configurations with a price range of 149,900 yuan to 212,900 yuan. The version equipped with Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving system starts at just 189,900 yuan, marking Huawei's first time offering its Qiankun intelligent driving technology in a model priced below 200,000 yuan.
In fact, many domestic products priced below 200,000 yuan also offer high-level intelligent driving, but they have not gained much support from users based on their reception. In my opinion, there are two reasons for this: firstly, the high-level intelligent driving experience of these products is not that good; secondly, the influence of these brands is not strong enough, and consumers are not confident in their high-level intelligent driving capabilities.
With the entry of Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving, and leveraging Huawei's influence in the market, more audiences in the mainstream market will undoubtedly pay attention to high-level intelligent driving, which will promote its popularization to a certain extent. Meanwhile, the competitiveness and popularity of the SL03 will also be correspondingly enhanced.
To be honest, the main competitiveness of the SL03 does not lie in its high-level intelligent driving but rather in its configuration and pricing. Sales data show that the monthly sales of the SL03 have been at least 5,000 units in recent months, exceeding 7,000 units in June. If you want to find a mid-sized new energy SUV with good configuration and materials, a price around 150,000 yuan, and brand influence, the SL03 is one of the few options.
So, what are the highlights of the SL03 after removing the halo of Huawei's Qiankun intelligent driving?
Hard Power Can Also Stand Alone
Looking back at the moves made by the Changan Automobile Group this year, the company has consistently placed the extended-range technology in a very important strategic position. There has been a long-running debate about whether extended-range or plug-in hybrid is better, but Changan believes that the ultimate direction of hybrid is extended-range, which is currently the optimal solution for the domestic market, while pure electric power is a long-term goal. Therefore, the two major models launched this year—the Changan Hunter pickup and the SL G318—both use the latest extended-range technology, and the newly launched SL03 is no exception.
The official claims that the SL Super Extended Range Technology enables the SL03 to achieve a fuel consumption of as low as 4.9L/100km when the battery is depleted. It must be said
