As 2024 draws to a close, the sales targets of various new carmakers are gradually becoming clear. Among the top 10, only Leapmotor and Li Auto have achieved over 80% of their sales targets, ranking in the first tier. Other carmakers with high sales target completion rates include Honor Intelligence, Zeekr, and NIO, with completion rates of 71%, 73%, and 72%, respectively. Xiaomi, as a newcomer in the new energy vehicle industry, has delivered over 100,000 units of its Xiaomi SU7 model since its launch, completing its annual sales target ahead of schedule. Xiaomi is now aiming to deliver 130,000 units by the end of the year. The remaining carmakers have made poor progress and are still far from their annual sales targets.
1 Leapmotor 84%
Leapmotor is undoubtedly the "dark horse" in the 2024 auto market. It is reported that Leapmotor sold a total of 211,038 units in the first 10 months, achieving an 84% completion rate, ranking first in sales completion rate. Unlike other new carmakers, Leapmotor has always adhered to the strategy of "low price and high configuration," making its models highly competitive in price compared to similar models. Therefore, its cost-effective advantage has helped Leapmotor quickly open up the market. In recent months, Leapmotor has sold over 30,000 units multiple times with models such as the C10, C11, and C16. Next, Leapmotor only needs to sell 40,000 units to reach its annual target of 250,000 units. Recently, Leapmotor's first B-series model, the B10, made its debut at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show and is expected to be launched by the end of the first quarter of 2025. The official stated: "In 2025, B-series models will become a new growth point for sales." Meanwhile, Leapmotor's founder, Zhu Jiangming, said that Leapmotor aims to sell 500,000 units in 2025, which means an average monthly sales of 40,000 units.
2 Li Auto 82%
Close behind is Li Auto. Data shows that Li Auto sold 393,255 units in the first 10 months, achieving an 82% completion rate. Based on the current situation, Li Auto needs to sell 86,745 new vehicles in the next two months to meet its annual sales target. Earlier this year, Li Auto had to adjust its product rhythm due to the "failure" of its first pure electric model, the MEGA, and postponed the launch of three pure electric models originally scheduled for the second half of the year to the first half of 2025. Fortunately, the launch of the Li L6 in April played a crucial role in reviving sales. In 2025, according to Li Auto's product plan, it will have 5 extended-range models, 1 super flagship model, and 5 pure electric models. This means that next year will be a big year for Li Auto in terms of product launches, potentially helping to boost sales even further.
3 Zeekr 73% In 2024, Zeekr's annual sales target is 230,000 units. It is understood that Zeekr delivered a total of 167,922 units in the first 10 months, achieving a 73% completion rate. In the first half of the year, the Zeekr 001 delivered over 10,000 units for three consecutive months, ranking first in sales among pure electric vehicles priced above 250,000 yuan, demonstrating excellent market performance. Recently, the official announced that Zeekr 001 deliveries have surpassed 350,000 units, setting a new record for the fastest-growing pure electric newcomer. In the second half of the year, Zeekr's market performance remained strong. It is understood that the Zeekr 7X has continuously set new delivery records since its launch in September, surpassing 10,000 units in just 25 days after its launch. In October, Zeekr welcomed the pure electric MPV, the Zeekr MIX, further enriching its product line. Zeekr has demonstrated strong growth potential and market competitiveness. For 2025, the official stated that Zeekr's sales target will not be less than 650,000 units, demonstrating Zeekr's confidence.
4 NIO 72%
In the first 10 months of this year, NIO sold a total of 165,106 new vehicles, completing 72% of its annual sales target of 230,000 units. Recently, NIO's sub-brand Ledao's first model, the Ledo L60, sold over 30,000 units within 72 hours of its launch due to its cost-effective battery leasing plan priced at 149,900 yuan under the BASS model. Recently, NIO's president, Ai Tiecheng, stated: "Orders for the Ledo L60 have far exceeded expectations, with total deliveries exceeding 7,000 units, and we expect monthly deliveries to exceed 10,000 units in December this year." However, despite the support of the Ledo L60, it will be slightly difficult for NIO to achieve its annual target. In 2025, NIO's third brand, "Firefly," will be launched, with the first product expected to be delivered in the first half of 2025. At that time, the combined efforts of the three brands are expected to drive the growth of NIO's sales and revenue.
5 Honor Intelligence 71%
In the first 10 months, Honor Intelligence sold a total of 353,710 units, achieving a 71% completion rate, with 146,290 units remaining to reach the 500,000-unit sales target. Judging from Honor Intelligence's sales in recent months, a final push might help achieve the annual target. Currently, most of Honor Intelligence's sales are contributed by the Wenjie brand. It is reported that Wenjie sold 323,484 units in the first 10 months, accounting for 91% of Honor Intelligence's total sales. In contrast, the market performance of the Zhijie R7, Zhijie S7, and Xiangjie S9 has been relatively flat. Recently, Honor Intelligence's fourth "Jie" brand, Zunjie, made its debut at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show with its first model in a closed-door appreciation event, with an expected official launch before next spring. In just one year, Honor Intelligence has completed the layout of four "Jie" brands, showcasing its strength.
6 Deep Blue Auto 61%
Deep Blue Auto's sales target for 2024 is 280,000 units. In the first 10 months, Deep Blue sold a total of 171,281 units, achieving a 61% completion rate. In the first half of the year, Deep Blue achieved sales of over 10,000 units for five consecutive months with the Deep Blue S7 and SL03, demonstrating its sales capabilities. With the launch of the Deep Blue G318, sales first surpassed 20,000 units in August. In the second half of the year, Deep Blue continued to deliver strong performance with the launch of two new models, the Deep Blue L07 and S05. Among them, the Deep Blue S05 received over 10,000 orders within 10 days of its launch and began large-scale deliveries. As production capacity further improves, Deep Blue Auto is expected to maintain rapid growth. In 2025, Deep Blue Auto also plans to launch a six-seat SUV code-named D587, with mass production expected in the first quarter. In the future, Deep Blue will maintain a pace of launching more than two new products annually to build a product matrix and unleash its potential.
7 Xiaomi Auto 58%
As a "newcomer" in the industry, Xiaomi Auto's first model, the Xiaomi SU7, has maintained high popularity since its launch. Recently, the official announced: "Cumulative deliveries of the Xiaomi SU7 have surpassed 100,000 units, completing the annual sales target ahead of schedule." The Xiaomi SU7's delivery target has been increased from 120,000 units to 130,000 units, demonstrating its competitiveness. Recently, Xiaomi officially launched the SU7 Ultra, with over 3,680 small orders placed within 10 minutes of opening pre-orders. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype set a new record for the fastest lap time among four-door cars on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, becoming the fastest four-door car in Nürburgring history. This further showcases Xiaomi's brand strength and marketing capabilities. In 2025, in addition to the SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi Auto plans to launch its first SUV code-named MX11. By then, Xiaomi Auto's market share is expected to increase again.
8 XPeng Motors 44%
In the first 10 months, XPeng Motors sold a total of 122,478 units, achieving only a 44% completion rate. XPeng's market performance was somewhat unsatisfactory in the first half of the year, but its recent performance has been impressive. Data shows that XPeng has delivered over 20,000 units for two consecutive months. This sales recovery is inseparable from the outstanding performance of the XPeng MONA M03 and the 2024 XPeng G6 after their launch. Additionally, the XPeng P7+ received over 30,000 orders within two hours of its pre-sale launch in October, becoming a new sales growth point for XPeng. Although XPeng Motors is still far from achieving its sales target of 280,000 units, its market performance has seen a qualitative leap compared to last year. Recently, the XPeng X9 made its official debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show and opened for pre-sale, which is expected to further boost XPeng's sales growth. According to the plan, XPeng Motors will release multiple new models in 2025, including the updated P7i and G6 models, as well as a new model for the B-end market in collaboration with Didi, named "Xiangwang." It is expected to release at least one model per quarter. It can be said that XPeng Motors' development is gradually becoming clearer.
9 GAC Aion 38%
In 2024, GAC Aion set a sales target of "at least 700,000 units, striving for 800,000 units." In the first 10 months, GAC Aion delivered a total of 266,800 new vehicles, achieving only a 38% completion rate. In the past few years, GAC Aion has dominated half of the ride-hailing market with its low-priced models, with the AION S and AION Y contributing significantly to its growth. However, as the ride-hailing market became saturated in 2024 and the "price war" intensified, GAC Aion lost its advantage. To boost sales, GAC Aion has launched new models such as the AION V and AION RT. Among them, the AION V delivered over 6,000 units in its first month and has now surpassed 20,000 units in sales. Recently, GAC Aion showcased models such as the Aion UT and Haopai HL at the Guangzhou Auto Show, with pre-sales expected to begin in the first quarter of next year. After the launch of these new models, they will help boost GAC Aion's sales. In 2025, while consolidating its pure electric vehicle market share, GAC Aion will also launch extended-range and plug-in hybrid models. By then, we will know if GAC Aion can complete its transformation.
10 ARCFOX
ARCFOX delivered a total of 57,863 units in the first 10 months, an increase of 218.6% year-on-year. In October, ARCFOX sold 11,122 units, achieving sales of over 10,000 units for three consecutive months. The popularity of the Alpha T5, Alpha S5, and ARCFOX Kola S has driven rapid sales growth for ARCFOX. In the previous two years, ARCFOX set an annual sales target of 40,000 units. Unfortunately, actual sales fell far short of the set target. In 2024, ARCFOX did not announce a specific sales target, stating only a focus on "increasing volume." Based on this statement, ARCFOX successfully surpassed the 40,000-unit mark this year, demonstrating excellent market performance. In 2025, ARCFOX will mass-produce smart wireless charging technology, which is expected to be integrated into its new models priced below 200,000 yuan.
