Apple recently released its fourth fiscal quarter report (as of September 26, 2026). It must be said that Apple's performance this quarter was truly strong, exceeding all expectations.
Revenue reached USD 114.477 billion, up 11.7% year-over-year, and net profit was USD 30.711 billion, also up 11.8%, likewise beating market expectations.
Against the backdrop of surging memory chip prices and an overall sluggish consumer electronics market, Apple's ability to deliver such results is truly impressive.
So why did Apple perform so strongly? Once again, Chinese consumers delivered, as Apple's revenue in Greater China grew by 21%—the highest growth rate among all countries and regions worldwide—setting a historical record for Apple in Greater China.
By comparison, revenue in the Americas this quarter was USD 48.680 billion, up 10.2% year-over-year. The European market brought in USD 32.008 billion, up 11.5%. Greater China revenue was USD 17.539 billion, up 21.0% year-over-year. The Japanese market was USD 6.540 billion, down 1.4%. Revenue in the rest of Asia-Pacific was USD 9.710 billion, up 15.0% year-over-year.
China is clearly the fastest-growing market. Although its absolute value is not the highest, it shows extraordinarily strong growth momentum, setting a new fourth-quarter high over the years.
Apple itself also said that growth in China was mainly driven by the iPhone—amid price increases for the iPhone 18 series and limited supply, the Chinese market contributed the strongest rebound.
In fact, that is indeed the case. Institutional tracking of iPhone 18 Pro series sales previously showed that the United States fell 4% and Japan fell 27%, while the Chinese market rose 29%, also setting its best record.
It is precisely because of the strong rebound of Apple's iPhone 18 Pro series in China that Apple's performance was so impressive, ultimately setting its best record in the Chinese market. Apple said that for the full 2026 fiscal year, its revenue in Greater China grew 28% year-over-year—also its best performance.
At present, Apple's iPhone Duo is also performing very well in the Chinese market, and it can be expected that in the next quarter, Apple may even make history again.
Many people say that the reason Apple sells so well in China is still thanks to its peers, by comparison. After all, domestic phones raised prices even more aggressively this year. Apple only raised prices by 1,000 yuan, while domestic phones raised prices by more than 1,000 yuan, so many people would rather buy Apple than domestic phones.
