On October 8th, the Zunjie V800 took center stage in domestic automotive news. On this particular day, Yu Chengdong not only officially handed over a Zunjie V800 to Kenneth Fok, President of the Fok Ying Tung Group, but during media evaluations, three brand-new Zunjie V800 vehicles successively encountered brake pedal malfunctions, swiftly becoming a trending topic online. In response, Zunjie Auto promptly issued a statement, which we will delve into next.
As the second model under the Zunjie brand and an ultra-luxury MPV with a price tag exceeding one million yuan, the Zunjie V800 was officially launched on August 5th, 2026. It offers three variants, priced between 766,000 and 1,016,000 yuan. On August 31st, the first batch of Zunjie V800 owners started receiving their vehicles, with large-scale deliveries kicking off in September.

Judging by the popularity of the Zunjie S800, despite its hefty price, the sales performance of the Zunjie V800 post-launch was expected to be impressive. At the very least, it should have peaked in sales within the first six months after its debut. According to official order data, the Zunjie V800 and V680 garnered over 10,000 pre-orders in just 23 days, with the Zunjie V800 accounting for roughly 80% of these orders. Furthermore, among the 3,500 firm orders placed within 24 hours of its launch, 70% of customers opted for the flagship model priced at 1,016,000 yuan.
However, unexpectedly, on the first working day after the National Day holiday, the Zunjie V800 made headlines due to pedal malfunctions. There's no denying that this incident will have a negative impact on the recent sales of the Zunjie V800. One customer who had already pre-ordered the Zunjie V800 reached out to the sales advisor to cancel the order upon hearing about the brake pedal malfunctions, stating that they would not proceed with the purchase even if it meant forfeiting the deposit.

The three Zunjie V800 vehicles that experienced brake pedal malfunctions did not encounter the issue on the same day. Based on current information, the first Zunjie V800 was tested on October 1st and experienced a pedal malfunction during the third brake application. The second Zunjie V800 was tested on October 3rd and failed during the fourth brake application. The third Zunjie V800 was tested on October 4th and malfunctioned during the second brake application.
Among the three Zunjie V800 vehicles that experienced brake pedal malfunctions, the production batch of the vehicle tested on October 4th differed from the first two. However, the locations of the pedal malfunctions were strikingly similar. All three vehicles underwent the same test: a 100-kilometer emergency brake.

So, why would a media outlet invest millions to conduct an emergency brake test on an ultra-luxury MPV that prioritizes comfort? And why did all three tested models experience brake pedal malfunctions without exception? Was it due to a design flaw in the vehicle or improper driver operation? We will refrain from speculating or expressing opinions on these questions; the final verdict will hinge on the official investigation results.
After the incident gained momentum, JAC Motors' stock price plummeted by over 10%. Subsequently, Zunjie Auto issued a statement at approximately 9:08 PM on October 8th, underscoring that the braking system is directly linked to user safety and expressing grave concern over the videos.

Zunjie Auto also reiterated that the braking system was developed and validated in strict accordance with national standards and surpasses industry benchmarks. Since the first deliveries, no brake pedal bracket base failures have occurred in real-world user scenarios. The company further announced that it would optimize the component design and offer free upgrades to users who have already received their vehicles.
