According to a report by Quick Tech on October 9, OPPO Find X8 Pro's performance was unveiled tonight, featuring the Dimensity 9400 mobile platform. Blogger WHYLAB conducted gaming tests on its performance capabilities.
Starting with the two mid-to-low-load games, "Honor of Kings" and "Game for Peace," after actual testing, the OPPO Find X8 Pro equipped with Dimensity 9400 maintained a stable performance throughout, meeting expectations.
However, compared to Dimensity 9300+ devices, the average power consumption of Dimensity 9400 is lower. Actual tests showed that the average power consumption for "Honor of Kings" over 15 minutes was 3126mW, and for "Game for Peace" over 15 minutes, it was 3623.19W, both lower than the power consumption of the two Dimensity 9300+ devices.
In the "Genshin Impact" Sumeru City running test, the iPhone 16 Pro equipped with A18 Pro approached full frame rates during the initial test but began to drop frames later on, resulting in an average frame rate of 47.48fps.
In contrast, the OPPO Find X8 Pro maintained a nearly straight line throughout, with an average frame rate of 60.44fps.
It's worth noting that the rendering resolution of the iPhone 16 Pro is 864P, while that of the OPPO Find X8 Pro is 810P.
In terms of specifications, the Dimensity 9400 uses TSMC's second-generation 3nm process, making it the first 3nm chip on the Android platform. It boasts 29.1 billion transistors and adopts a second-generation all-big-core architecture, with the super-core upgraded to ARM's latest Cortex-X925 running at 3.62GHz.
In terms of GPU, the Dimensity 9400 is upgraded to a 12-core Immortalis-G925 GPU, offering a 41% increase in peak performance and a 44% reduction in power consumption compared to the previous generation.
