From January to May, 10,823 New Energy Sanitation Vehicles Were Sold, with Yingfeng Environment, Yutong, and Foton Securing the Top Three Positions

According to terminal sales statistics compiled by Dianchehui, the sales of new energy sanitation vehicles between 2025 and 2026 have experienced fluctuations. From January to May 2026, the cumulative sales volume reached 10,823 units, marking a significant year-on-year increase of 107%. This figure already accounts for 61% of the total sales recorded in 2025. If this upward growth trend persists, annual sales are projected to hit a new record high.

Among the top ten enterprise groups in terms of new energy sanitation vehicle sales from January to May 2026, Yingfeng Environment emerged as the leader, with sales reaching 3,275 units. This represents a substantial year-on-year increase of 118% compared to the 1,501 units sold during the same period in 2025. Among the other vehicle enterprises, except for Shimei, which experienced an exceptionally high year-on-year growth due to a small sales base, Foton demonstrated remarkable growth with a 412% increase. Shenzhen was Foton's highest-selling market, accounting for nearly 20% of its sales. Chengli's sales also surged, with a 317% year-on-year increase, and 27% of its sales were concentrated in Wuhan.

In terms of vehicle model sales from January to May 2026, battery electric sweeper trucks were highly sought after. Sales of these trucks increased from 1,253 units during the same period in 2025 to 2,388 units, accounting for 22% of the total sales. Battery electric detachable container garbage trucks witnessed the largest year-on-year increase at 203%, with Yingfeng Environment leading the sales, accounting for 14% of the market.

The demand for new energy sanitation vehicles varied significantly across different cities. Shenzhen ranked first nationwide with 914 units sold, marking a year-on-year increase of 190%. This demonstrates a significant policy-driven effect on the market. Cities like Changsha and Chengdu maintained stable demand, although Chengdu experienced a slight 9% year-on-year decrease, becoming the only city among the top ten to show negative growth. Third- and fourth-tier cities such as Xingtai and Xuchang achieved explosive growth: Xingtai's sales increased from just 1 unit to 592 units, a staggering year-on-year increase of 59,100%; Xuchang, starting from zero, reached 269 units, highlighting the enormous potential of the markets in Hebei and Henan provinces.
