On the dawn of 2025, the 2024 annual sales rankings for new energy vehicle manufacturers were unveiled. Li Auto, having topped the monthly delivery charts for an unprecedented 12 consecutive months, clinched the title of 2024's top new energy vehicle seller with 500,000 vehicles sold. HarmonyOS Drive followed closely with 440,000 vehicles delivered. NIO, ZEEKR, and XPeng occupied the second tier, each selling over 200,000 vehicles annually. This year, XPeng, amid numerous challenges, and newcomer Xiaomi, emerged as a formidable competitor, both ranking in the third tier with over 100,000 vehicles sold annually. Since 2024, Li Auto, NIO, HarmonyOS Drive, and Xiaomi surpassed their sales targets, with NIO and Xiaomi already pushing for new annual benchmarks post-achievement.
1. Li Auto - Annual Sales: 500,508 Vehicles
Li Auto delivered an impressive 500,508 vehicles throughout the year, marking a 33.1% year-on-year increase and surpassing its sales target of 500,000 vehicles. Dominating the sales charts for 12 straight months, Li Auto's success was fueled by the enduring popularity of the Li L6 and Li L7. Following a brief setback in April, with monthly sales dipping below 20,000 units, sales rebounded with the introduction of the Li L6, peaking at nearly 60,000 units in December.
2. HarmonyOS Drive - Annual Sales: 444,956 Vehicles
HarmonyOS Drive sold 444,956 vehicles in 2024, with the AITO M7 leading the charge as the top-selling model, accounting for 197,000 units and crowning itself as the annual sales leader among new energy vehicles. In contrast, sales of the AITO M5 lagged slightly, with a 6.2% month-on-month decline in December 2024. HarmonyOS Drive completed its 'Four Realms' layout in 2024, and Yu Chengdong unveiled plans to aim for one million annual sales in 2025.
3. NIO - Annual Sales: 293,724 Vehicles
NIO emerged as the 'dark horse' of 2024, selling 293,724 vehicles and setting a new monthly delivery record for seven consecutive months. With a year-on-year increase of over 100%, NIO delivered nearly 300,000 vehicles, surpassing its 2024 sales target. The C series led the sales charge, accounting for approximately 78.3% of total sales. NIO plans to launch three B series models in 2025, anticipated to become new growth drivers.
4. ARCFOX - Annual Sales: 243,894 Vehicles
ARCFOX sold 243,894 vehicles in 2024, registering a 78.1% year-on-year increase. Despite a slow start with only around 10,000 vehicles delivered in the first half, ARCFOX picked up pace in the third quarter, reaching 20,000 units monthly, and surpassing 30,000 units from October to December. The ARCFOX SL03 and ARCFOX S07 were the primary sales drivers. ARCFOX plans to introduce two new products in 2025, with the large-sized SUV ARCFOX S09, positioned as a six-seater family vehicle, already unveiled.
5. ZEEKR - Annual Sales: 222,123 Vehicles
ZEEKR sold 222,123 vehicles in 2024, marking an 87.2% year-on-year increase. The ZEEKR 001 and ZEEKR 007 were the main sales pillars. The ZEEKR 001 delivered over 10,000 units for three straight months in the first half, ranking as the sales leader among pure electric vehicles priced above 250,000 yuan. ZEEKR maintained strong performance in the second half and announced plans to deliver 320,000 vehicles in 2025.
6. XPeng - Annual Sales: 201,209 Vehicles
XPeng delivered 201,209 vehicles in 2024, up 25.7% year-on-year. Sales were relatively weak in the first half, with fluctuations in January and February. However, sales recovered from March onwards, surging towards the year's end. In December 2024, XPeng delivered 31,138 new vehicles, a 51.3% month-on-month increase. XPeng launched the Ledao and Firefly brands in 2024, initiating its foray into the mass consumer market.
7. Xiaomi Automobile - Annual Sales: 135,000 Vehicles
Xiaomi Automobile delivered over 135,000 vehicles in 2024, achieving this volume in just nine months, comparable to the combined totals of NIO, XPeng, and Li Auto in 2019 and 2020. Xiaomi surpassed its annual sales target of 100,000 units ahead of schedule in November and subsequently aimed for the new target of 130,000 units. On December 31, Lei Jun announced Xiaomi Automobile's annual delivery figures during a New Year's Eve livestream and unveiled plans to target 300,000 deliveries in 2025.
8. Haval H6 - Annual Sales: 85,697 Vehicles
Haval H6 sold 85,697 vehicles in 2024, a 69.50% year-on-year increase. The all-new Haval Dreamliner stood out, with retail sales of 7,808 units in October and 8,039 units in November, consecutively winning the sales crown for new energy MPVs for two months. The Haval Zhiyin also performed well post-launch, securing 8,216 large orders within 24 hours.
9. ARCFOX - Annual Sales: 81,017 Vehicles
ARCFOX sold 81,017 vehicles in 2024, a 169.91% year-on-year increase. Focusing on the 100,000-300,000 yuan market segment, ARCFOX offers a diverse range of products from sedans to SUVs, spanning compact, mid-size, and large models. Its lineup includes the Alfa S, Alfa T, T5, S5, Koala, and Koala S. Specifically, 21,712 Alfa S5 units, 37,107 Alfa T5 units, and 19,289 Koala units were delivered throughout the year.
10. AITO - Annual Sales: 73,606 Vehicles
AITO sold 73,606 vehicles in 2024, doubling its sales from the previous year. AITO's main models include the AITO 11, AITO 12, and AITO 07, with the AITO 07 leading the sales charge. Within three months of its launch, the AITO 07 received over 30,000 large orders and delivered over 12,000 units. The pure electric AITO 11 and AITO 12 models have underperformed since their launch. Currently, AITO is diversifying beyond pure electric vehicles, with the new AITO 07 model shifting to an extended-range track.
