Farsight, October 29th – Renowned tech blogger 'Digital Chat Station' leaked that the Apple iPhone Air 2 has been unveiled, featuring a mid-sized straight display with a conventional aspect ratio.

In terms of details, the iPhone Air 2 will come with a 6.55-inch 1.5K OLED screen supporting 120Hz LTPO. Performance-wise, it will be powered by a 2nm A20 chip, include an additional ultra-wide lens to form a 48-megapixel dual-camera system, and feature an increased battery capacity.

Previously, foreign media reported that the iPhone Air 2 will have a body thickness of 5.2mm, which is 0.44mm thinner than its predecessor. It will adopt a high-energy-density battery, with battery life expected to surpass that of the previous model.
Official data shows that the iPhone Air was released on September 10, 2025, and went on sale on September 19. It is the thinnest iPhone in Apple's history, with a body thickness of 5.64mm, made of titanium, powered by an A19 Pro chip, starting at 7,999 yuan for the Chinese model, and supporting only eSIM.
This slim-focused model underperformed in the market, with issues such as short battery life due to its ultra-thin design, single-camera setup, and eSIM limitations leading to a rapid decline in initial enthusiasm. Apple subsequently reduced production capacity. Starting from January 2026, e-commerce platforms and authorized channels began large-scale price reductions and promotions. The iPhone Air's price dropped to just over 5,000 yuan after superposition (stacked) subsidies, representing a maximum price reduction of nearly 2,900 yuan compared to its launch price, making it one of the iPhone models with significant price reductions in recent years.
