The most notable change in this facelift is that the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 has phased out the 405-kilometer variant, retaining only the 506-kilometer version. It now boasts new features such as a heat pump air conditioner and tire blowout stabilization. Meanwhile, the official guide price for the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 is set between 89,900 and 101,900 yuan, with limited-time subsidy prices slashed further to between 79,900 and 99,900 yuan, making it more affordable than the 2026 506-kilometer version.

As a result, many believe that the competitiveness of the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 has seen a significant boost. Some even go as far as to say that purchasing a 506-kilometer range vehicle for 79,900 yuan these days is not just about value for money but about getting the rock-bottom price.

Undoubtedly, the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 offers improved range capabilities and enhanced driving safety, bolstering its visible competitiveness. However, these enhancements come with trade-offs. While the range has increased without a price hike, the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 lacks many configurations.

According to the configuration table, the 2027 506 Enjoyment Version largely maintains the configurations of the 2026 405 Air Version. Compared to the similarly priced 2026 405 Max Version, the 2027 506 Enjoyment Version offers an additional 100 kilometers of range but lacks front and rear head airbags, downgrades to steel wheels, lacks a power tailgate, does not support adaptive headlights, lacks rearview mirror folding, front-seat wireless phone charging, front power seats, and has four fewer speakers.

It is worth noting that Changan Qiyuan offers an optional package for the entry-level 506 Enjoyment Version. This package includes a power tailgate with memory function, rear-seat proportional folding and angle adjustment, rear center headrest, and aluminum alloy wheels, at an additional cost of 4,000 yuan.

Moreover, the 2027 506 Enjoyment Version lacks several advanced driver-assistance features. To access these features, one must upgrade to the 506 Comfort Version for an extra 10,000 yuan.

Given this, the 506 Enjoyment Version has faced criticism from many netizens. Comments such as "The 506 mid-range version doesn't even have a power tailgate" and "An 80,000-yuan car doesn't even have power seats or seat heating" have surfaced. One netizen bluntly stated, "Having to pay extra for essential features like aluminum alloy wheels and seat ventilation and heating is unreasonable. Putting practical configurations in mass-market models will lead to better sales."

From an external viewpoint, the limited-time price of 79,900 yuan for the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 Enjoyment Version is indeed eye-catching, but it lacks many core experiences. The existence of this version seems more about lowering the price threshold than about sales significance.

In reality, there are also doubts about the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 beyond the sparse configurations of the entry-level model, with its advanced driver-assistance features also sparking controversy.

Since its launch, "LiDAR under 100,000 yuan" has been the biggest selling point of the Qiyuan Q05. However, according to the configuration table, LiDAR is only available in the top-tier 2026 405 and 2026 506 models. Other versions use a camera + millimeter-wave radar solution, resulting in a hardware generation gap in intelligent driving capabilities compared to the top-tier models.

It is also reported that the LiDAR version of the Qiyuan Q05 currently only supports highway and elevated NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), with the 'urban memory navigation' feature mentioned in promotions requiring subsequent OTA updates to be realized. According to owner feedback, the NOA navigation assistance function, which was explicitly promised in official promotions and sales, has been repeatedly "delayed" and has not been rolled out yet.

It is evident that although the Qiyuan Q05 boasts "LiDAR under 100,000 yuan," the actual experience falls short of the promotional hype. The latest 2027 model no longer offers a LiDAR version.

In fact, it is clear that the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 prioritizes cost on the selling point of "long range," making explicit trade-offs in the daily experience of the entry-level model, the intelligent driving hardware of the mid-range model, and some comfort features.

If you are attracted by the "79,900 yuan for 506km" offer, you must accept that the Qiyuan Q05 is a "long-range but sparsely configured" commuter car. To replicate the driving and comfort experience, you need to increase your budget to 100,000 yuan.

From the perspective of the entire Qiyuan Q05 lineup, multiple 2026 models, including the 405 Air and two LiDAR versions, are still available. Therefore, the launch of the 2027 Qiyuan Q05 is more about expanding the product lineup and enriching user choices.

Public data shows that since its launch in November last year, sales of the Qiyuan Q05 have been steadily increasing. After surpassing 12,000 units in March this year, sales have stabilized above 15,000 units, making it the absolute sales pillar for Changan Qiyuan. By launching the 2027 model, Qiyuan aims to further enhance the market performance of the Q05.

To be frank, the three 2027 models have indeed improved their configurations in their respective ways. The 506 Enjoyment Version offers increased range while maintaining the same configurations as the 405 Air Version. The 506 Comfort and 506 Deluxe Versions have improved configurations based on the 506 Pro+ and 506 Max+ Versions.

However, it must be admitted that even though the 2027 506 Comfort Version directly increases the range by 100 kilometers, its configurations are somewhat sparse, giving the audience a sense of lack of sincerity. Especially when compared to competitors like Leapmotor and ARCFOX, which have equipped their models with comprehensive configurations, the lack of sincerity in the Qiyuan Q05 becomes a competitive disadvantage.
