On August 25th, OJO, an AI design agent team platform, announced the successful completion of its angel round of financing, raising nearly 100 million yuan.
This investment round was a collaborative effort by Shunwei Capital and Legend Capital, with Growthide Capital acting as the exclusive financial advisor.
OJO was established by Zhang Qizhi, the former head of CapCut's domestic operations. The company focuses on digital product design, leveraging composable Agent Teams and Skills to streamline the entire design process, from ideation and interaction to visuals and delivery. Positioned as the 'world's first Design Agent Team Workspace,' OJO allows users to set their goals, after which the platform's 'Design Director Agent' interprets the product vision, delegates tasks, and coordinates various specialized Agents and Skills to work together, turning abstract ideas into tangible design outcomes.
The concept of Agent Teams offers a more compelling proposition than relying on a single Agent.
On August 18th, OJO made its official overseas debut. Within 24 hours, its official content on X garnered over 500,000 views, propelling it onto the X News trending list. Within 48 hours of its launch, it attracted over 10,000 new users and achieved paid verification.

The majority of OJO's team members hail from industry-leading companies such as ByteDance and Tencent. The funds raised will be primarily allocated to core product development, enhancing Agent and Skills capabilities, expanding into global markets, and recruiting top talent.
Undoubtedly, executives from the CapCut ecosystem are emerging as a formidable presence in the AI Agent startup landscape.
Several AI video applications, including LibTV, OiiOii, Flova AI, and Pexo, have received backing from former CapCut executives. In the AI design sector, Lovart, championed by Chen Mian, the former head of CapCut's global commercialization, has already secured a notable market share.
The competition among entrepreneurs from the CapCut ecosystem is heating up.
Leveraging their expertise in 'tool products + internet marketing + global operations,' these entrepreneurs can swiftly gain momentum during the initial stages of product launch. However, in the AI era, the question remains whether their reliance on mobile internet product strategies will continue to enable them to break through the fiercely competitive market and overcome the constraints of traffic-driven and commercialization limitations. This will ultimately hinge on their 'true capabilities.'
