The VDL200 data logger extends the Ethernet connectivity of Vaisala's viewLinc continuous monitoring system with secure multi-parameter measurements. As a manufacturer of equipment in meteorology, environment, and industrial measurements, Vaisala never stops innovating. The newly launched data logger can communicate quickly and reliably with the viewLinc continuous monitoring system. The new VDL200 data logger can monitor relative humidity, temperature, and carbon dioxide in controlled environments and GxP regulated applications.
Easy Setup, Simplified PoE Monitoring
Combining Vaisala's proven sensor technology with viewLinc's easy-to-use software, the VDL200 data logger meets regulatory requirements in the life sciences industry while ensuring data integrity. The VDL200's Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection simplifies installation and reduces configuration steps, making it ideal for applications where communication performance is critical.
'The viewLinc monitoring system is already in use in thousands of life science environments. While we have our trusted VaiNet wireless technology, many customers still use hardwired data loggers for specific data logging applications. The VDL200 transmits both power and data over a single cable, making installation convenient,' says Product Manager Anniina Uotila.
'Many viewLinc users prefer data loggers that can monitor multiple parameters, especially in applications such as cleanrooms, where minimizing equipment is often desired. The VDL200 probe enables the input of temperature, relative humidity, and CO2 monitoring data, providing a monitoring solution for a wide range of applications. Installing the data logger requires only one Ethernet port, making it easily scalable from small labs to large applications. Furthermore, we have significantly reduced the setup steps for the data logger, eliminating the need for IT knowledge or resources. The VDL200 also offers many features, including field calibration, when connected to Vaisala's Insight PC software, making field service more efficient,' Uotila continues.
In China, devices that use radio frequencies for communication are subject to the regulations of the "State Radio Management Regulations" (SRRC), and micro-power short-range radio transmitting equipment must comply with the provisions of Announcement No. 52 of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China in 2019.
More Than Just a Measurement Device; A Flexible Sensor Platform
The VDL200's Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection simplifies installation and reduces configuration steps, making it ideal for applications where communication performance is critical. Compatible with Vaisala's high-performance interchangeable probes, the VDL200 ensures data integrity through non-erasable redundant data recording. Data is recorded at the measurement point in the data logger's internal memory and in viewLinc's secure database, ensuring no data is lost. As the software component of Vaisala's environmental monitoring system, the viewLinc Enterprise Server provides alerts, real-time trend data, and GxP compliance reports. With the VDL200, the system can support network connections to meet the needs of various wired or wireless applications.
Vaisala's VDL200 data logger is available for delivery in 2024.
