According to Quick Tech News on August 31, blogger Dingjiao Digital exposed the frequency parameters of MediaTek's Dimensity 9400.
It is reported that the Dimensity 9400 is composed of 1 3.8GHz Cortex-X925 supercore + 3 3.0GHz Cortex-X4 supercores + 4 2.0GHz Cortex-A725 large cores.
Compared with the previous generation, the Dimensity 9400 still adopts an all-large-core CPU architecture design. The detail difference is that one supercore has been upgraded to Arm Cortex-X925. Compared with X4, Arm Cortex-X925 has a 36% improvement in single-core performance and a 41% increase in AI load.
In terms of graphics, the Dimensity 9400 uses the Immortalis G925 GPU, which Arm calls the most powerful and energy-efficient graphics processing unit available.
In addition, the ray tracing performance of the Dimensity 9400 has improved by nearly 20% compared to the previous generation, and the Dimensity 9400 will also be the first to introduce top-level ray tracing technology OMM (ray tracing accelerator) on mobile platforms comparable to that on PCs, significantly improving the ray tracing game graphics performance on mobile devices.
It is worth noting that the Dimensity 9400 also adopts TSMC's 3nm process technology, which is the first 3nm mobile chip in the Android camp.
This chip will be premiered by vivo X200, and the new product will be launched in October.
