FastTech News on June 22 reported that Huawei has announced at HDC 2024 that HarmonyOS NEXT has started the beta test for developer pioneer users.
The first batch covers the Mate 60 series, Mate X5 series, and MatePad Pro 13.2 inches.
According to the official schedule, HarmonyOS NEXT will launch the first batch of public beta tests in August, push the first batch of official versions in the fourth quarter, and start the second batch of public tests.
It is worth noting that Huawei Mate 70 will be launched simultaneously with the official version of HarmonyOS NEXT, which will be preinstalled and shipped globally.
By then, the Kirin + pure-blooded HarmonyOS system will truly demonstrate the pure HarmonyOS ecosystem, which is also a true domestic self-developed masterpiece.
Unfortunately, it cannot catch up with the simultaneous release of iPhone 16 in September, so we cannot see the "surprise" attack on Apple like last year.
Currently, there is still little specific information about the Huawei Mate 70 series. It can only be confirmed that it will continue the style of the previous generation, adopting a triple-hole screen design and supporting 3D face recognition.
The entire series is equipped with OmniVision sensors, with the standard version carrying OV50H and the high-end version carrying OV50K.
