Breaking Through the US Blockade! Huawei Mobile Phones Now Support 5G Overseas

Kuaikeji, July 16th news: After years of unreasonable unilateral sanctions by the United States, Huawei's 5G mobile phones have finally officially gone abroad for sale in overseas markets, marking a complete breakthrough in the long-awaited communications technology blockade.

Last week, Huawei held a new product launch event in Malaysia, officially launching the Pura 90s Pro series mobile phones, covering two versions: Pro and Pro Max. What surprised local consumers and digital enthusiasts the most was that this new model launched for the overseas market natively supports complete 5G network connectivity.

In addition to the real device test footage shared by many overseas digital bloggers who unboxed the phones in advance, the complete product parameter table published on Huawei's overseas official website also clearly lists the communications technology indicators related to 5G NR, without any reduction or adjustment in core communications configurations.

Looking back to 2019, the US government introduced unreasonable unilateral sanctions rules, with related export control restrictions directly locking down Huawei's mass production and global sales path for 5G mobile phones.

For a long time thereafter, Huawei was unable to normally produce and publicly sell mobile phone products supporting 5G networks. Ordinary consumers in overseas markets have not seen an officially released Huawei 5G flagship model for nearly five years.

Huawei's last generation of flagship products natively supporting 5G that were publicly released for the global market was the Mate 40 series, which officially debuted in October 2020. That was also the last 5G flagship released by Huawei in the early stages of the sanctions that did not compromise on core communications functionality.

In the years following the Mate 40 series, Huawei successively released several flagship models such as the Mate 50 and P60 for the global market, all of which temporarily did not feature complete 5G functionality and could only operate on 4G networks, leaving many long-time overseas Huawei 5G fans disappointed.

Until 2023, Huawei directly launched the Mate 60 series mobile phones without any public preheat (teaser) or preview (announcement), breaking through the 5G technology blockade that many global industry observers had deemed nearly impossible to achieve, thanks to its fully autonomous and controllable full-link technology path. The product's launch brought a huge shock to the entire global consumer electronics industry and also elevated the confidence of the domestic full industry chain in independent research and development to a new height.

The official launch of the Pura 90s Pro series with complete 5G functionality in the Malaysian market also means that Huawei's fully self-developed 5G mobile phone production capacity is now sufficient to support simultaneous supply in both domestic and overseas markets, with more users in additional countries and regions expected to be able to purchase officially released Huawei 5G flagship products in the future.

Now the question arises: During Huawei's most difficult years, how many of their mobile phones did you support?
