Fast Technology, November 29th news: MSI has officially launched its second-generation handheld gaming consoles overseas, including two models - Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+. Both models are equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 200V series processors, codenamed Lunar Lake.

The previous generation MSI Claw 7 was the first handheld console to adopt the Meteor Lake Core Ultra 100 series processors.

The Claw 8/7 AI+ models differ in appearance and some configurations:

The Claw 8 features an 8-inch screen with a resolution of 1920x1200, a dark gold color scheme, weighing 794 grams, and measuring 299×122.6×24mm.

The Claw 7 boasts a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080, a black color scheme, weighing 675 grams, and measuring 294×117×21mm.

Both models maintain a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of 500 nits.

Processor: Both models are equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V, featuring 4+4 cores and 8 threads, with a maximum frequency of 5.0GHz and an Intel Arc A140V integrated GPU (8 cores) running at 2.0GHz.

The 8-inch model also offers an option for the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V with slightly lower frequencies, a CPU maximum frequency of 4.8GHz, and an integrated GPU maximum frequency of 1.95GHz.

RAM: Both models come with 32GB LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, doubling the capacity and increasing the frequency compared to the previous generation. The 8-inch model also offers a 16GB option.

Storage: The 8-inch model offers 1TB of storage, while the 7-inch model offers 512GB, both using PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSDs.

Battery: The 8-inch model has a battery capacity of 80Whr, while the 7-inch model has a capacity of 53Whr, the same as the previous generation.

These are all overseas configurations, and the Chinese versions may differ.

Additionally, both models come with two Thunderbolt 4/USB4 high-speed ports, one more than the previous generation.

The new devices are now available on Amazon, with the Claw 8 AI+ 258V/1TB version priced at $899 (￥6510) and the Claw 7 AI+ 258V/512GB version priced at $799 (￥5785). Both models will be released in December.
