As October drew to a close, leading new - energy vehicle brands unveiled their sales data for the month.
In general, the automotive market typically witnesses the “Golden September, Silver October” trend. Hence, in October, most brands delivered strong performances, with nearly all of them achieving year - on - year and month - on - month growth.
The following is a comprehensive summary of the October sales, rankings, cumulative sales from January to October, and the status of annual target attainment for various brands.

It is evident that the top 10 brands that have disclosed their sales figures all sold more than 10,000 units in October. From a month - on - month perspective, 12 out of the 14 major brands registered growth, while only two brands, Li Auto and Denza, saw a decline.
Leapmotor, in particular, set a new benchmark for emerging brands, with monthly sales surpassing 70,000 units. HiMode Intelligence also put on an outstanding show, with total sales exceeding 68,000 units.

Next in line are XPeng, NIO, and Xiaomi, all with sales exceeding 40,000 units. NIO, especially, staged a remarkable comeback by re - entering the top five, with monthly sales also crossing the 40,000 - unit mark, marking a turnaround after a prolonged period of sluggishness.
Xiaomi once again sold over 40,000 units, effectively silencing the skeptics by proving that its main challenge lies not in sales but in production capacity. If production capacity were higher, it could deliver more vehicles. After all, Lei Jun is now dubbed the “King of Unfulfilled Vehicle Orders” in Beijing, with hundreds of thousands of vehicles still awaiting delivery...

Moreover, from the perspective of annual target completion, with only 10 months gone by, two brands have already met their annual targets: Fangchengbao, with a 104.23% completion rate, and XPeng, with a 101.49% completion rate.
Leapmotor and Xiaomi have both surpassed the 90% completion mark, leaving little doubt that these two companies will also exceed their annual targets this year.

Many other brands are hovering around the 50% mark, such as NIO, Shenlan, Li Auto, Zeekr, and Voyah. Four brands have not even reached the 50% completion level: HiMode Intelligence, Avatr, IM Motors, and Denza. I believe these automakers will definitely fall short of their targets this year.
With just two months remaining in 2025, these automakers are likely to launch a final push towards their goals, with a high likelihood of offering discounts and promotions. What's your take on this?
