Established on January 16, 2024, Yinwang emerged as a spin-off from Huawei's Automotive Business Unit (BU). Xu Zhijun serves as its legal representative, and the company boasts a registered capital of 1 billion yuan. Yinwang embodies Huawei's ambitious goal of transforming into an electrified and intelligent open platform, jointly participated in by the automotive industry.

A year prior to Zhu Huarong's resignation, Yinwang underwent a significant transformation. Huawei's stake in the company was reduced from 100% to 80%, with two major automakers, Avatar Technology and Seres, each acquiring a 10% stake. This move facilitated Yinwang's independent operations. At the same time, Xu Zhijun, Huawei's rotating chairman, assumed the role of Yinwang's chairman. Yu Chengdong, Huawei's executive director, and Zhu Huarong, chairman of Changan Automobile, were appointed as vice chairmen. Zhang Xinghai, chairman of Seres, and Jin Yuzhi, former CEO of Huawei's Automotive BU, were named directors.

A year after gaining independence, Zhu Huarong's resignation as vice chairman appears to be a natural progression as Yinwang transitions into a phase of normalized operations, following the completion of its initial strategic introduction and governance structure establishment.

To date, Huawei and its automaker partners have forged a strategic brand layout known as the "Five 'Jie' and Two 'Jing'", with core distinctions lying in their cooperation models and levels of dominance:

The "Jie" Series: Part of the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance ecosystem, this series adopts the smart selection vehicle model and is spearheaded by Huawei's Terminal Business Group (BG).

The "Jing" Series: Belonging to Huawei's Qiankun ecosystem, this series sees Huawei providing a full-stack intelligent solution, while automakers retain greater autonomy in product definition and brand operation.

Currently, the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance encompasses five "Jie" brands: Aito, Luxeed, Xiangjie, Maextro, and Shangjie, with corresponding automaker partners being Seres, Chery, BAIC, JAC, and SAIC.

In addition to these five "Jie" brands, Huawei is actively registering trademarks, including a series of "Jie" trademarks such as "Xianjie", "Tianjie", and "Junjie". These registrations may serve as protective measures or as strategic reserves for potential future cooperation brands.

The two "Jing" brands are Qijing and Yijing, with GAC Group and Dongfeng Motor Corporation as their respective automaker partners.

Huawei's 2025 annual report reveals that its intelligent vehicle solutions have emerged as the fastest-growing segment, generating revenue of 45 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 72.1%.
