On April 29, Lu Fang, Chairman of VOYAH Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "VOYAH"), posted on social media that while public opinion often highlights the profitability struggles of new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturers in China, the reality is that automakers worldwide are confronting similar challenges. Amid the global automotive market's shift towards stock competition (i.e., competition within the existing market) and the transition to new energy, even global giants like Volkswagen, Toyota, and Stellantis are grappling with profitability issues.
Lu Fang further elaborated that profitability is essential for companies to consistently deliver value to users and society. This understanding is not only a consensus within the automotive industry but also a pressing challenge that global automakers must address head-on. Effectively navigating the industry's transformation and upgrading is a global concern. Fortunately, despite the intense competition in China's automotive sector, our transformation commenced earlier, and we have amassed considerable technological expertise and experience in areas such as electrification and intelligence, giving us some local competitive advantages. Of course, we are also the first to bear the brunt of profit pressures. Nevertheless, we believe that those who confront challenges proactively will be the first to discover solutions and successfully complete the transformation.
